iPro Lens by Schneider Optics 0IP-CASE-I6S reviews

Case for iPhone 6/6s is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Design Flaw I purchased this case to replace my first which broke when the ring that secures the lens to the case broke off. I thought this was a fluke until this happened again on my second case which I've only been using for a month with very light use. I love the quality of the Schneider lens's but if I can't use them due to a poorly designed case then what good are they. At $$a pop I expect a case to last. To Schneider's credit they offered to replace it at no cost but I wouldn't purchase this system until they correct this design flaw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Design / Worse Support I bought this case directly from Schneider when it was first released for the 6s. Immediately, a corner of one segment started to crumble and fall apart. I contacted Niki at Schneider, she sent me a replacement segment (it comes in three pieces, they only sent a replacement for the broken piece). Within a couple of days I had the same issue with the new piece. I contacted Niki again. It took awhile for her to reply, and when she did, she carefully explained that no one else was having the problem that I was having. The implication was that I was the cause of the issue. I never heard from her again. I used tape to hold the case together for several months until finally the top segment broke in the same fashion. I am lens-committed on this device, so I had to buy another one, this time from B&H. The good news is that it gave me the chance to leave this review. I've spent $thousands$ at Schneider Optics over the years, this is the first time I've encountered an inferior product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok, but not as well as it appears in the pictures It does his job well. But is not as good as it appears in the pictures of the product. It looks very good, but it's made kind of cheap. It's all plastic and the method to put de iPhone in and out It's not good.I appears the thing it's gonna brake any time. The screws you can see in the pictures are all fake. All are part of the molded plastic design and are only aesthetic.I repeat, it does the job well, but I expected a little more of it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This case is fragile and breaks easily The iPhone has a great camera. The schneider lenses are great tools that make theiPhone an even better system. But, the lenses are dependent on the case. If the case won't hold the lens, you have some worthless glass. Ergonomics - The iPhone 6 case is bulkier than it needs to be. I had an iPhone 5 case and it was a simpler, less bulky design. I would prefer a slimmer profile. Reliability = terrible I have bought 2 of these cases. The first broke from being dropped - my carelessness. But, the choice of material used could be better. There are polymers out there that withstand moderate drops. I bought the second case on September 27th. on November 7, the lens bayonet mount broke during normal use in the field. That is a poor design. I tried to contact Schneider, but their customer support is terrible. It's like there's nobody home. I would give up on the iPro lens system, but I already purchased the lenses (which are of good quality). My recommendation is look at other alternatives until Schneider figures it out and redesigns this case.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but dim The iPro Lens Case for iPhone 6 by Schneider Optics looks sturdy and well-constructed but a piece broke off the first time we used it. Athough the piece was insignificant, it's frustrating to now use a damaged case. The design looks brilliant, its features intuitive, so it's a shame it doesn't hold up when put to use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic will become brittle after 6months Plastic will become brittle after 6months, areas like the Bayonet attachments will crumble off like cornflakes , due to extremely poor plastic granulates used in the molding process. do not let the hot james bond look fool you. the case will also not fit at all , right after opening of box. And detaching itwhen one needs to change a sim card after one had to push simply way too hard to get the iPhone in already, is more than just your worst nightmare. below images of the bayonets area and its pieces which broke off, making it unusable for the lenses now. Schneider has NOT responded for days now ,... i am furious. Being from switzerland myself, we Swiss expect only the best from Schneider optics, for we know the company stands for top notch engineering know how, but here clearly one department of Schneider optics has totally lost it. and without the case the great lenses are useless for they need to be attached with this proprietary bayonet system on the case and their lenses , after this happens here, you can not attach any lenses to your iPhone at all anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the Wait I originally purchased the iPro Lens system for my iPhone 5 with four lenses. I used it primarily to document spaces for interior design projects. It was very handy and compact. When I upgraded to the iPhone 6 I expected a case to be available in a short time but it took more than a year. When the iPhone 6 case became available it was almost three times the cost of the iPhone 5 case. This seemed too high so I did not immediately purchase it. However, since I had over $$invested in lenses that I could not use, I decided to finally buy it. I can see why it costs so much more. It is much sturdier and it includes two 1/4 threads (plus the smaller thread for the iPro grip). The buttons for adjusting the volume and turning off the display are the best of any case I have purchased (this is my fourth iPhone 6 case). They are actually better than without the case. The case does not overlap the edges of the screen at all. This was a problem with my previous 6 case when trying to drag apps between screens. The case is easy to hold and is secure in your hand. My only complaint is that the case is difficult to put on and even more so to remove. I would like to be able to change to a case to use on my bicycle but it is not practical. I am thinking of adding a Quadlock mount to the back but I'm not sure it is smooth enough to allow the mount to be adhered.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from breaks almost immediately. I've gone through two of these and now my lens kit for it hasn't left the drawer in a year. The plastic is extremely brittle and both the three piece case latches and the lens mount will break easily. First one, then the other usually. Great lenses made useless by a garbage phone case.
