Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mellow Yellow Back in the the late 60's I was working at a campus radio station at Ohio State and selling stereos off campus. When the HD414 was introduced no one could believe what we were hearing and they instantly became the prime phones for home and the radio station. We sold a ton of them. My HD414's are long gone, but I picked up set of Sennheiser PX100's recently. Excellent phones for price(read the reviews), but they came with very thin pads which could be uncomfortable with extended wear. The solution, HD414 pads, which fit perfectly with no mods. As an added bonus the pads brought the mid range forward at bit and for my old ears that was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underground earpad mods for Grado cans On the advice of various online forums (search Grado SR-xxx and HD414) I decided to try these earpads as a lower cost substitute for the stock ones that are available thru Grado. At first glance the pads look too small to fit my SR-60s...however, carefully pulling these pads over the phone rim resulted in good oem-like fit. At first listen, this pad is much more comfortable than the stock black (doughnut hole) ones that since have degraded into a crumbly mess. This yellow foam has less dense build than the stock ones (which seems to contribute to the comfort factor) so each individual's durablity mileage will vary upon use. Some others may want mod these pads to suit there sonic tastes--read up :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These don't exactly fit my HD414-SL set My old cushions wore out. I thought I would be unable to find replacements because it's been about 10 years since I replaced the last set. The price seemed great, so I bought 2 sets of cushions....Unfortunately, I didn't realize that my headphones are somewhat different than the one's shown on this site. However, I managed to stretch the cushions to fit. Not ideal, but good enough.Sennheiser made a few different types of HD414 phones. Be sure to do a little research on the Net if you don't have the phones that match the ones in this photo. Sorry I don't have more information on the model variations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD-414 foam Earpads are perfect I've had my HD-414 Sennheiser Headphones since I first used them as radio DJ 30 years ago. I replaced the original headphone pads once from Sennheiser some years ago, but I needed to replace my 2nd pair of earpads. I found these earpads from B&H to be exactly the same as the original Sennheiser earpads. What I like about these headphones is that they are very light in weight, they aren't heavy at all and the foam earpads are very comfortable. I currently use these headphones to listen to Pandora on my laptop at work and these earpads are so comfortable I can wear these headphones all day long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD414 Replacement Ear pads (Yellow Foam) I use my Sennheiser HD414's for Ipod Nano playback. The Dynamic range and sound stage are just what Apple Ipod's frankly average sound quality need to justify the effort. The replacement EARPADS I purchased in bulk. Their dense light weight distinctive yellow foam replacement pads are a must for any HD414 user. Grado make a set of ear pads thet fit the HD414 but, there is no substitute for the contoured elegant shape of the HD414 replacement pads. Any thing else feels ponderous and opressive after normal use; for me 1-2 hour stretches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like new! These foam earpads are a perfect replacement for the original set. Of course, they are made by Sennheiser specifically for the HD-414 headphones, so you would expect them to be a perfect match. It still amazes me that Sennheiser continues to make quality replacement parts for a product that has been out of production for more than 30 years! B&H Photo had the best price around as well. All in all, very satisfied!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great replacement pads for Grados Bought these to replace the pads on my workhorse Grado SR80s. These were very inexpensive next to the official Grado replacements (1/6th the cost!). I use these in the reverse quarter mod set up, basically you cut a quarter sized hole in the middle of the pad and stretch them over the phone. They will be on in the reversed direction compared to putting them on the Sennheisers like they are intended. They work great and are more comfortable than the original pads to boot! The only possible drawback is the yellow color. I kinda like it though. It makes them easy to spot in a darkened studio!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Price Online After hearing considerable praise regarding these little ear pads i set out to find a pair that i intended to use with my Grado Headphones. The oem pads were falling apart and the price from the manufacturer to replace seemed a little high. I learned about the reverse quarter mod on one of the Hi - Fi forums and thought i would give these a try. B & h had the cheapest prices by far(i beleive Amazon was almost DOUBLE the price!)Anyways they work great, shipping was quick and the price was right. Best site to order from by far..
