Hard to hold

The rubber came off and product scratched my filters. The metal underneath the rubber became exposed after first use. My hands kept slipping off the rubber and the metal was too bendable to be able to get a proper grip.

This is a perfect tool to remove those aluminum filters that bind up so easily. Do not use to tighten filter, though, as may damage threads on filter or lense

Well made, durable and worked immediately on tough filter that was stuck. Use it, keep it.

If you've ever struggled to unlock the embrace of two filters or a filter and a lens, you know what frustration it can be to do so. These simple devices allow for even distribution of torque in a way that your fingertips are challenged to reproduce. Affordable, too.

This made it so easy to take care of the filter removal and put on. So hard to do it with my fingers. Love this!

question

I have very very slim ring for the CPL filter (the ring that is close to the lens is extremely thin), will this wrench work? The CPL outside ring that rotates is about 2X thick of the insider ring though? Can this wrench grab both rings with the inside ring that is actually attached to the lens?

Haven't worked for me.

If I have the 82mm thread, should I order 72-82 or 82-95 size?

The 72-82 will provide better grip

question

Are these Sensei Rubberized (ie. steel coated with rubber) wrenches worth the extra cost over the plastic ones? I'm asking in the context of 58mm filters, but also just in general.
Asked by: Anonymous
Absolutely without question they are worth the extra cost. I've had several sets/sizes of the plastic wrenches. One would always break & I'd throw them away swearing I'd never buy any more. This time I got samrt & ordered the Sensei set. Well worth the extra cost.

question

Is this worth the extra money/weight over the Sensei plastic versions?
Asked by: Jeff S.
I can't say for sure since I don't own the brand you mentioned. However, this filter wrench - although made from metal - is still pretty flimsy. Weight is not really an issue in my opinion.
