Rated 2 out of 5 by from honestly don't no how people give it 5 ? When you look at the item image it's look so comfortable and a must have for mirerles camera. In realty it's not comfortable at all. You need too look 100% straight line in order to avoid tunnel look. It's not blocking 100% ambient light. Unless if you press it hard. I rekken I will use it in extreme sunny days. Defently not a replacement for the original eyepiece. May be its the right thing to mention? that it's not this brand that have a problem, I belive that any other hoods like this for Sony alpha will have same result. I think that the problem is with the size of the Evf that it's too small to add on top of it something like that. And if you actually read all this long review until the end? Please give

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful Sometimes, especially with a sidelight, it is difficult to easily and clearly see the viewfinder. The hoodeye solves this problem, increasing significantly the comfort of looking through the viewfinder, by allowing an essentially perfect seal. It is relaxing on the eye you use to look through the viewfinder. The downside, which is not a product fault, is that it somewhat increases the volume of the camera. The product is well manufactured and looks as if it will easily last. A tad pricey in terms of perceptual value. Yet, I am really glad I purchased it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would not buy this product again unless changes were made. I attached this hood to my Alpha 7R2 because I wanted it to block stray light and it worked really well. I was pleased. Unfortunately my joy did not last long. The camera bumped against my the inside of my camera bag and fell off. The next two times the eye cup fell off while taking it out of the bag. The last time it fell off was when I was outside shooting and was lost. And yes I was careful to properly attach it and it was properly seated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my a7r ii needed this. the Sony a7r ii factory eyecup just isn't up to blocking light outdoors. This does what it's supposed to do and helps you use the EVF when it's too bright outside to use the screen. I put this on my camera months ago and haven't removed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly on my A7rII They do not advertise but I purchased this for my A7II and thought I would try the A7rII first, and it fit perfectly! No more oversensitive LCD and EVF!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice unit but not for the Sony Alpha A900. I ordered this Hoodeye Eyecup mistakenly thinking it would fit on the Sony Alpha A900. It does not. Be careful when ordering these eyecups for Sony Alpha camera bodies. Check the list of compatible camera bodies carefully to see whether your camera body is on the list. Not the end of the world however. I am going to modify this eyecup by shaving off a little of the flange on the left hand side, just enough to allow clearance for the Sony Alpha A900's viewfinder shutter lever. I am sure it will work fine once I've done this. ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! This helps SO MUCH for reducing glare while using the viewfinder! It was a cheap buy and fits perfect. I may take you a little while to get used to how it interferes with the screen. But once I got used to it I have no complaints!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to use with glasses The eyecup increases the distance from the electronic viewfinder (EVF) to your eye, making it difficult to see the edges of the display, especially when wearing glasses.
