The RM1000i 1000W 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular Power Supply Unit from Corsair delivers up to 1000 watts of power to your computer's components. It provides enough energy for up to twelve SATA drives and eight PCIe cards. Furthermore, you can use this power supply with a 4th generation Haswell Intel Core processor and a Z87 motherboard. To help ensure the delivery of power, it is built with Japanese 221°F (105°C) capacitors. The cables are fully modular, allowing for fast and neat builds as well as help maximize airflow throughout your computer's chassis. In addition, Corsair has design this power supply with an 80 PLUS Gold certification to offer you energy savings.

The RM1000i supports Corsair Link Integration that lets you monitor and log fan speed, voltages, and power consumption as well as control the fan's speed and configure the +12V rail operation to single or multi. For a quieter operation, the Zero RPM Fan Mode turns off the integrated 135mm fan under light to medium loads. Additionally, the thermally controlled fan adjusts its speed as needed based upon the temperature of the power supply under heavy loads to provide optimal cooling with minimal noise.

The RM1000i features Corsair Link Integration so you can monitor the performance, fan speed, and multi-rail/single rail mode.
80 PLUS Gold certified, delivering over 90% energy efficiency at real world load conditions.
The Zero RPM Fan Mode means that the fan doesn't spin until the power supply is under a heavy load. Moreover, the thermally controlled fan adjusts its speed to provide optimal cooling with minimal noise.
The integrated 135mm fan spins up as needed based upon the temperature of the power supply. In addition, the fan is built with a fluid dynamic bearing to help ensure a quiet operation.
The flat modular cable design maximizes airflow throughout your computer's chassis.
The RM1000i is engineered to meet maximum power output at a server-grade 122°F (50°C) temperature rating.
You can use the fan self-test switch to see if the fan spins before installation of the power supply.
The RM1000i is designed with Japanese 221°F (105°C) capacitors that deliver solid power and long-term reliability.

RM1000i 1000W 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular Power Supply Unit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead On Arrival The design is awesome. Individual wires plug in, idiot-proofed as they can only go into the correct plug. Added to the Corsair 800D case, it's an awesome set-up. I'm impressed with everything about this PS and case except for the fact that the power supply was dead on arrival. Only 1 wire had 5 volts coming from it and I hope that didn't destroy other components of the motherboard, CPU or video card. Returning it to Corsair as I type. I'll update this if I get one that works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead on Arrival - Continued I took up the issue of the DOA power supply with Corsair. With a CC number, they shipped me a new one. Then I returned the old one. I shouldn't be charged if it gets back within 10 days. The techs were good and efficient. The holidays and their increased workload took their toll, took almost a week before it was shipped. The new one works as expected. I'm now running a high end gaming computer, Corsair case, power supply, and 32 gig DDR4 memory. No complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Unit I am using this with my Sabertooth z87 mother board, with an i7-4770k @ 3.50 GHz, two samsung SSD 500gb, 2x 8gb memory sticks, my dvd-r and a big and beautiful memory card. The unit was easy to install. It's powerful, quiet and makes it easy to upgrade with multiple plugins for each cable.
