    Kingston KHX-HSCP-RD reviews

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset (Red) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality gaming headphones First and foremost, the build quality is exceptional. Feels very sturdy and comfortable. I like that it includes interchangeable earphones. The sound is amazing for the price. The 7.1 feature is a nice touch. It's wired and I actually prefer this for gaming as it decreases input lag and static. These headphones are sound proofed really well simply because they cushion your ears really well. You can have them on for hours at a time and not notice because they are so lite. The mic quality is good too; it gets the job done which is all I need it to do. I have no need for an ultra quality mic anyways. These are the best headphones I have ever owned and I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality headset, with minor update required This headset is an amazing upgrade. My previous headset was the Logitech G930 wireless which is plaged by signal disconnects, even after a complete warranty replacement. The Cloud 2 is so comfortable that after a couple of minutes I forget I have it on. The quality of the materials is top-notch as well as the packaging the headset arrives in. The mic being removeable is a nice feature allowing it to have more uses than just PVP gaming. The HyperX Cloud 2 has had its issues with cracking/static when using the USB soundcard that is included. My headphones (shipped 12/8/15) still had the USB soundcard with software REV 3 and had some audio distortion. The good news is you can contact Kingston technical support and they will give you a link to upgrade the software to REV 5 very easily. This upgrade will fix ALL audio cracking/static problems. The audio quality on this headset is very well balanced and I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headphones for music and gaming I use this for mainly for gaming. The best part is that I just unplug the head set and mic from the head set and it become a nice closed ear headphone. Sound is excellent and quality it top notch. It come with a USB sound card with 7.1 surround sound with controls. The cable for the USB and sound card is really long. One thing I can thing of that bothers me is that I wish the headphone wire is 5 inches longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the Best Headsets for the Money As stated in title, this headset is a great buy at its price point. Here are my thoughts:Comfort - First off, it is extremely comfortable to wear, and that's coming from a guy with a big ol' dome. I've struggled over the years to find headsets that weren't fatiguing to wear for longer than an hour, but this one is absolutely great for extended play sessions. You almost forget it's on your head. Sound - The sound is, once again, pretty good for the price. It has good meaty bass, decent midrange and treble that is clear but not shrill. Exterior noise cancellation is surprisingly good. Directional audio is solid, though I feel the faux 7.1 surround is a bit of a gimmick. It sort of simulates the 7.1 experience, but falls short if you're expecting the real thing. To be fair, if you're wanting true 7.1 in a $$headset, you're asking for too much. Mic Quality - I find it's on par with other mics on similarly priced headsets. It works and people can hear you just fine; all you need for gaming purposes.Aesthetics - This is, of course, personal opinion, but the pics really don't do it justice. It is a very sleek and neatly designed headset.Build Quality - Here's where I have the only real issues with it. To start with though, everything was packaged extremely well and functions perfectly as of now. There were absolutely zero out of the box quality issues. However, I'm a bit concerned about the longevity of the headset due to the exposed braided cables which run to the audio drivers on each ear. These look like an easy and pretty obvious failure point down the road. There is some play to be found in the cable which runs to the usb dongle, where it connects to the bottom of the headset. Nothing serious, but once again gives me some concern for the future. I also wonder how well the microphone jack will hold up.Overall, I highly recommend this headset to anyone. My concerns are simply concerns. So far I couldn't ask for better performance for $$.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Deal! It took me a lot time to research which headphones to get for my boyfriend for his Ps4 but that is compatible with Xbox One, Pc and phone. It was worth the time of researxh cause he LOVES it! Can't describe how great it sounds and surprisingly very comfortable. Best quality of headphones with an amazing price cause others i have researched may look nice but have very loor quality or sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hyped but average This is generally considered a bargain, because it is a surround headset. There is however very little difference between hardware and software virtual surround: It is virtual, and the provided solution does a sub-par job at it. The 7.1 hardware upmix is a mushy imprecise echo effect, no comparison to the Sennheiser G4ME card. The amp + headphone combo exhibits painful harmonic distortions at higher volumes, and lower frequencies are too pronounced; the classic 80s boombox approach. The microphone is very narrow band with a flat unappealing sound. The build quality of the headset is good, though some strange design decisions were made. I.e. the plug is a 3.5mm combined stereo/mic phone plug, when there are no size limits requiring such a sub-par audio link, yet it is gold plated. It's an average piece of gear, which is robust and looks good. It serves a purpose, but it is in no way even near the advertised hi-fi quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Gaming Headset! I have been using my headphones for a while now and I absolutely love them. They are great when I am talking to my friends online and when we are in an intense multiplayer battle. They are also really great when I listen to podcasts on my phone and answering phone calls is awesome too. Speechless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset Perfect headset. I previously purchased cloud core headset which is not usb and had issue with Windows 10 adjusting the volume on its own so I purchased these instead. They're comfortable, with great sound. No issues yet.
