Photographic Solutions Sensor Swab Ultra Overview

Changing lenses on your camera when you are in the field can cause dust and debris to land on your sensor when it is exposed. The 12-pack of Type 2 Sensor Swab Ultra from Photographic Solutions features 17mm wide swabs for DX or APS-C sensors. They're designed to clean oil, dust, and debris.

The thick and double wrapped swab is highly absorbent, and each swab is individually packaged to maintain the purity of the swab for cleaning. The fibers of the swabs do not shed once the sensor has been swiped across.

B&H was very good helping me to figure out what size I needed. Used with the recommended cleaning solution, I got rid of a dust speck on my sensor!

Camera had a real bad smudge on my tiny MFT sensor and it took all 12 and it made a real difference, and that alone was worth it. I wish I had more swabs to finish the job so thats why I say get at least 2, I also think there should be more in between 100 packs and 12 pack, 30 would have been perfect for me.

Cleaned My Sony A77ii In One Pass! Excellent!

Both my Sony A77ii and A99ii were experiencing sensor dirt after a trip to the ocean. Even though I was VERY careful when switching lenses, somehow dirt/salt/something got on the sensors of both cameras. UGH! I ordered this kit along with the proper cleaning fluid and followed the instructions carefully after air blowing and camera self-cleaning multiple times that had no effect. This kit did the trick in one pass for the A77ii and two passes for the A99ii. Clean as a whistle, they say. Images for both at f22 against a white background confirmed the sensors were clean. What can I say other than it did the job as prescribed. Don't forget to order the Aero-Clipse Digital Sensor Cleaning Fluid as this box contains only the one-use swaps!

Las compr porque me parecian que tenian el mejor material para limpiar el sensor de mi cmara; una Sony A7riii, pero en cuanto las us con el liquido Aeroeclipse el swab dej residuos en el sensor y el material parecia no absorbia el liquido de manera que el sensor recibiera distribuidamente la limpieza.

Need a light touch

These swabs are good quality and they do work. But they're expensive and I went through ten of them before I finally got it right. It takes a light touch and unfortunately for me that meant practicing with the swabs at, what comes to be close to $4 a pop CDN (you cannot use a swab more than once ... trust me, I tried!). But the alternative, sending my camera out to the manufacturer and waiting 4 to 6 weeks for it to come back, is simply untenable.

I have used this brand for years. I never have any trouble getting the sensor completely clean with this brand along with Eclipse Optic Cleaning Fluid. One or two drops on swab is adequate. Sometimes a really dirty sensor needs two or three swabs. With mirrorless cameras, cleaning becomes more frequent. I clean sensors for my colleagues.
