Klipsch RP-140SA overview

  • 1Description

Add height channels to your Dolby Atmos home theater system with the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-140SA Speakers in black. Each speaker in this pair can handle up to 50W of continuous power and 100W peak. This speaker pair is designed to sit on top of your existing floorstanding speakers, creating a wide Dolby Atmos soundstage. Additionally, these speakers incorporate a Tractrix horn design for enhanced high-frequency sound. They also feature a capable 1" titanium tweeter and 4" cerametallic cone woofer.

Dolby Atmos-Ready
Sit the Reference Premiere RP-140SA height-channel speaker on top of your existing floorstanding speaker to enjoy detailed Dolby-Atmos sound when paired with a compatible receiver.
90x90 Hybrid Tractix Horn Design
The redesigned Tractrix Horn utilizes a circular horn throat paired to a square horn mouth to further improve high-frequency response and extension, while enhancing imaging and dynamics. The compressed molded rubber construction adds high frequency damping to minimize distortion and improve detail. This is designed to produce clean and natural sound.
Linear Travel Suspension Titanium Tweeter
Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) tweeters are engineered to deliver dynamic and detailed high-frequency performance.
Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers
Cerametallic woofers are designed to be rigid and lightweight in an effort minimize cone breakup and distortion.

    Klipsch RP-140SA reviews

Reference Premiere RP-140SA Dolby Atmos Speakers (Pair, Black) is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looking to enhance your sound Works with all Atmos amplis Desecrate, not big, and give a nice add to sound, not only for movies, also wider sound, with no artificial feeling, to your music. Neutral enough to work at all type of music. Well built and cool design, nothing against. Just enjoy it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Effect My environment is not likely ideal for this feature but I did it anyway. My downstairs area is not carpeted and the ceiling where there speakers reside (as front Atmos speakers) has an angled ceiling. However, while watching Mad Max Fury Road, I was able to discern a positional difference in some scenes as compared to watching the movie without Atmos enabled. So, I say fair-for-now given the limited number of movies supporting this technology. I would also like to see game developers embrace this technology. Could you imagine hearing an enemy sneaking up overhead?
