The NWA5123-NI 802.11 a/b/g/n Unified Access Point from ZyXEL features a two-in-one standalone/managed AP design, allowing it to function as a standalone AP or as a controller-managed AP when there is additional Wi-Fi demand. The embedded antennas and signal output are fine-tuned to provide easy RF planning and maximum signal coverage. There is channel selection, load balancing, and pre-authentication for seamless roaming and a high-quality Wi-Fi experience. The router features TX Beamforming, LDPC, and MLD for boosting the signal-to-noise ratio to 3dB for stable wireless service and performance. The TX Beaming also expands your coverage with continuous, dynamic changing of signal phases. The router's ceiling-mount design provides maximum coverage and performance by offering internal as well as external antennas to enhance wireless performance and to eliminate coverage dead spots.

The NWA5123-NI contains ZyXEL ONE Network Utility for a quick and easy network setup. Using the company's Smart Connect technology, your networking equipment will automatically be aware of and recognize each other, facilitating network maintenance through one-click remote functions. When using your router as a controller-based WLAN solution, once installed and powered on, the APs automatically look for your wireless LAN controller and establish connections. Utilizing the CAPWAP protocol, these connections can be established without needing to change the existing LAN infrastructure. The router has been designed with plenum rating and constructed of non-toxic materials without hazardous emissions for suitable public indoor wireless deployment.

The NWA5123-NI consists of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band radio to match the concurrent Wi-Fi services with either frequency. Users can choose 5 GHz as the first priority for default searching and balance heavy network loading with the 2.4 GHz band. The high 5 GHz transmit output power can boost the 5 GHz signal range, providing signal coverage equal to the 2.4 GHz wireless network.
