Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so great! Seems to work great, does not get warm (like a cheaper card reader I had before), transfer speed seems good, and I did not have any issues with unreadable files (again, something I had with cheaper card readers until I learned that a good card reader is essential). I have hoodman sd cards and love them and if this card reader keeps working as it does right now, I'm glad I payed bit more for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT MEMORY CARD READER We photograph 180 to 210 weddings per year and capture RAW. So we use lots of cards with very large images (Nikon D800 36 megpixel). The Hoodman is very reliable and fast. We have had problems with other namebrand readers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great so far My last Hoodman Card Reader (2 years old) suffered a bent, and eventually non-functional, data port. I carried it in my camera bag from one work computer to others. The new one is a reconfiguration of that vulnerable part. So far, so good. Too soon to tell whether I would recommend it or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I have the previous model also. This one seems to have an improved USB connection and the CF cards slide in a little easier. Great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both Failed Within a Year I've had two of these, one was a replacements. First one the USB3 port on the reader failed. Second one, the little guide on the inside bent over made contact with one of the pins and actually ruined a card. Save your money hear. Just get the ones you have to replace ever 2-3 years. I really wanted to like this reader. The outside cover is rugged the internal workings of it are not. Even if you don't believe me and buy one, you better have a back up, trust me.
