Very General Information, Technical Information Lacking

This is a great book if you want general information. The author seems lazy and on multiple sections of the book Lance states you can find this information elsewhere. There's lots of information out there. Thus, it leaves a lot of technical questions unanswered. For example for the milkyway shots it doesn't dive into ISO too much and how to vary it. It has some technical information answered, but at the end of the sections, the book does not answer questions that would be beneficial for those needing more information. a hefty price for a book where an author tells you to go elsewhere to find information.

Some great info about what you may need and ways to get it done for various types of night shooting, from street to meteors. Even has the light source of choice for Lycanthropes. LOL Overall, a very useful tome.

Even though some of the technology information in the book is getting dated, the information is very valuable both for beginners and those who have some night photography experience. My favorite part was the night photography history not found in other books. Definitely a must read!

A helpful resource to make art at night with a better understanding of it's technical aspects.
