    Sennheiser HD 630VB reviews

HD 630VB Closed-Back Circumaural Headphones is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Closed-Back Headphones These are a quantum leap ahead compared to the Momentum 2.0 in terms of clarity and amount of detail and high resolution. They sound refined and beautiful. The bass is deep, supple, full and controlled, but not as deep and intrusive as the V-Moda 100. They are a bit recessed in the mids but I think it's part of the romantic Sennheiser signature sound. They're not in your face, they're rather relaxed and laid back, a tad distant. The soundstage appears around and in front of you, not in between you ears or inside your forehead. To me they sound truly awesome and gorgeous when played loud, but at lower volumes they're a bit flat, too distant, there isn't as much presence as in other headphones that do better in that regard. I'm using them straight from a MacBook Pro without amplification, so I have no idea how they can sound with an amp. The bass adjustment dial is intuitive and easy to use. Personally I use it always between 2/3 and Maximum. The cable cannot be removed. In their refinement and detail they're unquestionably better than many high-end headphones you can find say at the @ but at this price point they'll be compared to more serious audiophile fare that's out there. I think these are some of the best no-amp-required-can-play-straight-from-your-phone-closed-back headphones available today.
