The 3TB DSA E2700 Series Simplex Controller from Bosch features 12 internal 3.5", 7.2 K, NL-SAS enterprise HDDs and a single port construction with 400 iSCSI sessions. It is a flexible, high-performance storage system designed for wide-ranging video surveillance requirements. The unit's balanced performance offers support for high bandwidth and I/O intensive workloads, as well as keeping your data safe and available with redundant hot-swappable power supplies and fans. The disk array is RAID protected, providing RAID-5 protection for capacity-oriented environments and RAID-6 protection for availability-oriented environments. The RAID-6 provides protection from double-disk failure and single bit errors during RAID rebuilds.

The controller's configuration allows you to combine your unit with multiple other expansion units for additional storage. The separately sold expansion units can be optimized for any standard mid- to enterprise-environments. In case of component failures SNMP, email alert notifications will be generated and an event monitor will send alert notifications to a central major event log. Additionally, if the DSA E2700 is connected to the internet/intranet, the controller will automatically generate and send AutoSupport messages. The DSA E2700 also features automatic drive failover, detection, and rebuild if you are using global hot spare drives, as well as data cache with battery backup and de-stage to flash. There is SANtricity proactive drive health monitoring for identifying drives before they create issues.
