77mm Screw-In Rubber Wide Angle Lens Hood is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive & It Works This 77mm screw-in rubber wide angle lens hood was put on a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens. It is attached to a Heliopan slim filter which stays on the lens full time for protection. I decided on using this lens hood to cut down on the overall length of the system when everything is attached and put in the camera case. Also, it weighs a little less and when wild children at weddings rum into it, they are not knocked out or scared for life. When the zoom is set to the 28mm setting, i.e., the index line is between the 2 and the 8, there is no vignetting at any aperture. There is vignetting when the lens is set to the 24mm focal length and is at f/8 or smaller apertures. At f2.8, f/4.0, or f/5.6 there is no unacceptable darkening on the corners. The camera is a 1Ds Mark III and the lens cap attaches firmly to the shade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and effective 77mm thread in the hood ring allows installation of filters or placing of lens cap securely and conveniently.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Generally very good, but... It screws in nicely on my Canon 10-22mm lens and has front threads to hold a polarizing filter. It provides a degree of bump protection to the front element of my lens as well as shade. However it vignettes at 10mm; with the polarizier at 12mm or so. I then have the option of folding back the rubber shield and/or removing the polarizer. So much for saving a few bucks on the Canon shade which they should have provided in the first place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made It seems well constructed. It does vignette slightly with a 16-35 f/4 Canon L. I have to adjust the focal length to accommodate. Not sure if there is a rubber wide angle lens hood that can work with 16mm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Purchase I purchased this hood for my 24-120mm Nikkor. Works great, covers the whole range of this lens, no vignetting, folds back out of the way, and offers a bit of a cushion if bumped. The Nikkor lens cap fits fine and the front threads will accept a 77mm screw in filter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough Stuff Took this on a month long international trip and it survived 7 airports, countless drops and videoing out a car window at 120 kph. Served it's purpose well. Got some nice shots using it as a mask/screen. I'd buy it again.
