Brilia BB-110C overview

  • 1Description

Embrace beautifully even, omnidirectional lighting with the bare-bulb design of the BB-110C Bare-Bulb TTL Flash from Brilia. Available here with full compatibility with the Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II automatic exposure system, users will be able to get started quickly and easily while also having full access to manual power from 1/1 to 1/28 and flash exposure compensation settings for dialing in a more exact exposure setting for their particular needs. This shoe-mounted unit is rated with a guide number of 56' at ISO 100 and 28mm (80Ws), and it comes with a reflector that offers coverage for 28mm on full-frame cameras or 18mm on APS-C sensors.

For normal flash operation it has a locking tilt position from -7 to 90° and can rotate left and right 180° for full bounce capabilities. It has wireless optical slave functionality with support for groups and channels via the TTL system. Pure manual optical slave operation is available as well, for more basic remote triggering. An automatic power-saving function is packed into the flash to save battery when not in use.

Advanced capabilities of the BB-110C include a programmable stroboscopic mode for multiple flash during a single exposure and synchronization options. The highlight feature is high-speed sync for working with faster shutter speeds than previously possible plus both 1st and 2nd curtain sync. Along with this, the flash is equipped with an HV power port, a PC sync terminal, and runs on 4 AA batteries.

Note: Not compatible with PocketWizard FlexTT5 and MiniTT1 TTL systems.

    Brilia BB-110C reviews

BB-110C Bare-Bulb TTL Flash for Canon Cameras is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Packed and returned this flash after 10 minutes of test If there is a rating of 1/4 a star, I'll rate it that way. Totally not usable with the TTL on my Canon 5DII and the 7DII. Only the manual setting fired properly. There isn't much instruction to tell you the setting. Construction seems ok and the swivel head don't seem to stay consider it is a new unused merchandise. The output is overstated and color seems cold when set the camera at auto white balance. I wouldn't recommend this product even it is on sale. Don't waste your time and save your return postal fee. BH, please don't carry low end product and ruin your reputation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as bright as expected PROS: Love that it is TTL/Speedlite compatible, including the ST-E2 transmitter. nice for a soft fill CONS: The flash isn't as strong as I expected even with the diffuser off. other main issue is the head pivots freely, no mechanism to lock in place, so it will move when you change angles/position. Bought this when it was on the Deal Zone, so good value at that price, not sure I would buy this agan, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bare bulb function Works well remotely with my Canon flashes. The bare bulb is very useful in conjunction with my other Canon flash units.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, But This unit works to a limited degree, just received it today . Found out the PC sync connection only works connected to the camera. My unit did not work with a pocket wizard, the unit might be defective. So I am am returning it for another . The power connection in front was designed for a Nikon system, though it says Canon connection will work.Anyone purchasing this unit I suggest you thoroughly check the features for reliability. Another review will come once I receive another unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from There are some good and not good points. I bought a pair of this flash for Canon system. I found something on this: GOOD: -Build is solid. -ETTL-II, HSS works on Canon 5D mk3 body. -ETTL-II/Manual works on YN E3-RX slave, using Canon 600ex-rt flash as Master trigger. -Master/Slave IR work fine. -More power, less harsh on the subject. -Color Temperature and power are constant. -Price is reasonable for a bare-bulb flash like this. -Including carry pack is a good thing. NO GOOD: - HSS not working on YN E3-RX, it might halt your whole system (master trigger/flash and YN E3-RX) until you dial down speed under 1/200th. -Power recycle is not fast enough. -Canon version but I have to use Nikon power pack if I want its Power recycle faster. -Buttons name are not completed, sometime I have to guess

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive! Just got it today, and have been testing it, and comparing it to my SB-700. Seems to have a bit more power, which is good. It's very lightweight, the functions are easy to use, and the screen is easy to view. The TTL seems very accurate, I will continue to closely watch it. I hope it's reliable and durable. I like what I see so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a champ! Seems to be a good, solid built quality. TTL works well on my 5DII. Manual setting down to 1/128! I mainly use it off camera on a stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Flash Aight this a few weeks ago, used it at my first wedding on a Canon Mark IV as well as Fuji X-T2 works very well. It's a bit plasticy. And the buld head move about easily which could and should be tighter. However, for the price, it's a good deal for anyone who wants the joy of using a bare bulb flash.
