Excellent Leg Wraps

I bought these leg wraps for my Gitzo GT3543XLS tripod. They fit perfect and feel very comfortable when carrying the rather heavy tripod. I would buy them again and highly recommend them.

LensCoat tripod leg wraps makes the tripod more comfortable to carry over shoulder, breaks up profile while in the bush or forest, warmer to handle tripod in cold weather. Recommend for any tripod.

Great option to protect your hands from the cold

For anyone who is wondering if you really need this product, I have found that the biggest benefit is to protect your hands from the cold. I own a RRS TVC-24L tripod and worrying about dents isn't really a concern because it's carbon fiber and sturdy. However, during cold weather conditions, even handling carbon fiber tripod with your bare hands is extremely uncomfortable. I purchased these wraps to solve this specific problem and it does a very good job. One hand grips the leg wraps while the other works on collapsing the tripod. I get asked often in the field what these leg wraps are. The price is steep but after owning it for sometime, it’s definitely worth it. I’m assuming most people reading this review own a tripod which means you are probably a landscape photographer. This means that you will likely be exposed to cold weather very often (sunrise, sunset). Do yourself a favor and protect your own hands. My only feedback is that it would be nice if LensCoat custom built these Legwraps to span the entire column of the main leg to the twist locks.

These make carrying the tripod very comfortable, and contrary to my initial concern, they don't slip.

Great addition

These leg wraps are wonderful, they make carrying the tripod much more comfortable. Since they just wrap around and secure with velcro, I was concerned they'd slip down. Nope they stay very firmly in place, to the point that it is nearly impossible to even rotate them, much less slip down.

Non-slip fit and good protection

These pads provide for a slip-proof grip on the tripod, and protect the upper tripod legs from bumps and scratches. They also provide a little cushion for carrying the tripod over the shoulder with a camera and lens mounted. The wraps seem a bit large for my Gitzo 3-series tripod, as they wrap around a bit more than I would prefer. FYI, if the seam overlap is not positioned carefully behind the tripod leg I've found that the overhanging Velcro will scratch my neck when carrying the tripod over my shoulder.

Fit nicely

Put these on an Oben CT-249 tripod. They fit well and add nice padding to the legs.

Dedicated tripod protection

After years of pipe insulation and gaffers tape to protect my tripod legs (and my shoulders) these are a bit more compact and seem to work well. A little tricky to get on just right but once you do they stay in place well. Time will tell how durable they are. These were better priced than the shorter, smaller set of black ones I got for my small tripod. And ... no more gaffers tape gum on the shoulders of my clothes.

These typically run a bit big, sizing down would be prudent.
