Product Highlights
Filter your water sources while backpacking in the wild with the Pocket Microfilter Water Filter from Katadyn. This model was the first portable water filter on the market, and it is still in production today. With a simple pumping motion this filter removes bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, sediments and viruses in combination with particles greater than 0.2 microns so you are safe from most water-borne diseases. A float keeps the intake hose up off the bottom of the water source where sediment may have accumulated, and a clip on the outlet keeps it secured to the container. This unit utilizes a ceramic element that lasts for 50,000 liters, and can be cleaned even in the field. A measuring gauge is included so you will know when the element has passed its prime.
