The M83 Bass Chorus Deluxe Pedal from MXR features both chorus and flanger effects, as well as a built-in crossover, and separate Bass and Treble controls to increase definition and low-end clarity.
The M83 employs analog bucket-brigade technology to deliver its liquid chorus and metallic flanger effects, while preserving the punch and fundamental frequencies of your low end. It includes a top-mounted flanger and a crossover button with LED status indicators for each. In crossover mode, the modulation is decreased at 100 Hz. Using the Bass and Treble controls, you can cut or boost lows and highs to shape the tonal character of the effect. Intensity, Rate, and Width controls manipulate the chorus and flanger effects.
To further enhance the spaciousness of the chorus and flanger effects, an internal switch on the unit allows you to select the TRS Stereo Hardwire Bypass Mode and use a TRS to TS Y-splitter cable for sending the effect signal to two different amplifiers. This results in a wide stereo sound, allowing the modulation to move from the left to the right speaker.
A footswitch toggles the effect on or off with true bypass, and a red LED illuminates when the effect is on. The Bass Chorus Deluxe is powered by a single 9V battery or a 9 VDC AC adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003E, or a DC Brick power supply (sold separately).
