Samson SAGOMICARR overview

  • 1Description

The Go Mic Connect from Samson is a portable stereo USB microphone that clips to the top of your laptop or computer monitor and has internally shock-mounted dual microphone capsules and a headphone output for zero-latency monitoring. It can be used to capture audio with Mac and Window computers for applications such as Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, and more.

At the core of the Go Mic Connect is Samson's Sound Deck software. The software's Focused Pattern Technology allows the focus array to be positioned and toggled on and off for the mic, and all sound outside the focus area is reduced making it ideal for business communications and mobile recordings. The Sound Deck's Active Noise Cancellation improves intelligibility, and the Echo Erase feature reduces echo or feedback caused by monitoring audio with speakers during the recording process.

The Go Mic Connect is ideal for computer recording as well as VoIP and speech-to-text communication.

    Samson SAGOMICARR reviews

Go Mic Connect Portable Stereo USB Microphone is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This microphone is not the solution you are hoping for TL;DR The beam feature is extremely overrated, the noise cancelation almost doesn't work at all and the sound quality is poor I've been eagerly awaiting for this MIC and have now had it for a few weeks. I've tried it in multiple usage scenarios and played wth the software settings a lot. In all honestly, the quality was so far below what my worst expectations were I assumed up front it was user error. I've run multiple tests with feedback from real people and done dozens of tests in Garage Band recording the input on the mic. Background chatter in a coffee shop is perhaps quieter, but significantly louder than what the built in laptop mic delivers. With every increased step of sound beaming and digital noise cancelation the sound quality of my voice gets worse in huge multiples. I have had other Samson products and I'm really surprised by how far away this one is from the mark. I have no idea how this product made it out of testing. I am unable to find a usage scenario that would justify purchasing this product, I would keep on searching for another solution. The version reported in the USB diagnostics is 2.04

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mic for while you playing game? really? I purchased Go mic connect to talk via skype, however, this mic didn't satisfy my expectation at all. Firstly, this mic is way good at catching keyboard typing sound. I know this can be used for recording, but, since Samson homepage recommended this product for Playing game or voice chat with friends, I didn't expect this will be happened. People easily notice when I type, and say it annoys them. I also don't want it happen for them and for my own privacy. Secondly, It has horrible quality for voice chatting. I was using Logitech HD Webcam C525 which is very old and people blaming all the time because I sound like speaking in a cave. People sometimes thought that I am using a laptop for the reason. However, I secretly changed my mic but people didn't recognize difference at all. Hey! I am not saying Go mic connect sounds bad but I put money for a reason! it should sounds different! Why people recognize difference when I pickup my headset? not go mic connect? :( I watched several youtube videos about mic comparisons. Yes Saomson Go mic connect sounds perfect when I watched This video is recorded by Samson go mic connect videos. Howwever guys, As other all people, I recommend you buy another product for recording with this price. Since this mic's purpose was for people who play game or chat with other people. Samson go mic connect will be great if you surrounded by people and if you speak 2 or 3 people same time. However, nooo it's not for gaming purpose. I also used all the functions which is introduced on the page, but it was worthless......-_- some people even told me it was better when I turned it off. I waited around 2 weeks to get this product since I am living in Korea. Also, nobody uses this product in here but just Go Mic. Now, I know that why people don't use and buy it. ugh I would like to try other Samson's product since It still sounds great when it comes to recording but not for this reeeeeason! meh!
