This AC adapter could have destroyed my post facility. Camera was turned off, but AC adapter remained plugged in to an outlet overnight. Arrived the next morning to a heavy electrical burning smell and from the looks of it, the adapter had burned and melted as seen in the attached photos.

Works but flawed

I purchased 3 of these for my A7s II cameras. It's a dummy battery so the camera reads it like a battery but it registers that it's at anywhere from below 5% to around 12% battery. Which means it won't allow you to format the SD card because it thinks your battery is about to die. Super annoying because you have to put an actual battery in every time you need to format an SD card. The cable features a quick release so if you wanted to switch the dummy battery from the AC power supply to a car DC power - you can do quickly... However more times than not the cable just ends up getting pulled out accidently so I have ended up taping all those joints.

You can't format cards with this

The power adapter kept the camera running for 48hrs during a long timel-apse, no problem. I did need a charged battery to format the cards for some reason, but i just cleared them using disk utility in my laptop and popped the battery in quickly to restt the database.

Worked well for my Sony a6400

This worked handily for my Sony a6400 in a live video setup. The 8' cable was ideal for my setup. Note that you will likely not be able to close the battery door on the with the dummy battery installed because of interference from the supply cable. Would buy again.

Loud whine

It works, but it has a loud whine that I wouldn't want to have in the same room whilst recording with audio. With a sound like this, I expect the power adapter will die soon. When it does I'll keep the dummy battery and pair it with a higher quality power adapter.
