    Ricoh SP C250DN Reviews

SP C250DN Color Laser Printer is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet machine! Can't believe it took me so long to escape the inkjet horror show with its costly cartridges that dry out after only two weeks of inactivity. And the constant head cleaning that expends half the ink in the cartridges! I was reluctant to go laser because of the photo problem, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the images this sweet little machine puts out. Plus I am reading that the images will last longer than inkjet! If you are new to laser printing, be sure to take your time reading the instruction manual for loading paper and adjusting the parameters for the bypass tray.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor set up Instructions, great printer I would have given ore stars if the set up instructions would have been better. After all the packing was removed and software loaded, the unit would not print? Keep getting Env loaded fault. Could not find anywhere how to clear, checked online, checked the manuals, nothing. Finally after opening the front door I noticed 2 tabs that showed a pic of an envelope or sheet. After I moved it to sheet finally it works.Still have not been able to get the wifi to work, disappointing but not a deal breaker. For $$, everything included still cheaper than buying 2 sets of replacement corteges for an ink jet printer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Laser printer for the price. For the price, it is a good color laser printer. Kind of heavy and bulky; but the print quality is good. Photo quality is just so so. There were lots of complaint about the setup. Yes, setup is very clumsy and difficult. Manual setup network / USB connection on a 3 lines LED screen was tedious. Took me several hours to setup the connection of the Ricoh to my wireless router. I am still unable to print to the Ricoh from my Android phone, although I followed the instruction. Review of this printer shows the toner is very expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable value You will find this unit is very easy to use once you get the wifi set up. You get technical support during normal business hours. One year on-site warranty. And for the price I paid ... well it cost almost as much as I paid for this unit on sale as it would have cost to ship it. Only downsides are its very heavy.... about 65lbs. and the color toner cartridges are VERY expensive. The black toner is reasonable though. I just use black and white printing. Its a fantastic printer though designed for small office work groups. Its pretty big though a lot bigger than I expected when I bought it. I thought I was going to get a cheap personal laser..... nope this baby is very nice. You need a good amount of space for it... keep in mind you may need help getting it out of the box and in place because of the weight. Also you need a room to put it in that you don't use a lot of electrical power all the time like a bedroom or any room you can shut most stuff off... it draws 1300 watts so it only leaves about 200 watts left over on most residential circuits. Enough to run maybe one item like a TV at the same time it prints. Take these issues into consideration and you will have yourself a primo printer. This is a business printer... for documents and graphs and charts... this one is not designed to print photographs for framing.... that is true of all laser printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good price-value This is a very good printer with duplex capability. For the price you can't beleive it's a high quality printer, but it is ! I think Ricoh is not really making money with this and pretends to do so with the extra toners wich are very expensive ( just one cost more then the whole printer) , fortunately there are options that I will try when the time comes (refill at least one or two times). Very well packed, I bought it from Mexico and paid a forwarding service form Texas to my home, so there was some extra handling and customs inspection, the box came a little bit damaged but the printer was in excellent condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer at a great Price! The $ price tag made this purchase a no brainer. It's a little noisy and a little slow but the print quality is outstanding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes i would buy it again very good price. I have a IMAC and it was easy to set up the wireless with a router with a WPS button but I have a laptop with windows 10 and I could never get it to find the router so I have a Canon printer so I just left it on the laptop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stable, heavy, windows oriented color printer First and very important: Make sure you have somebody with you when you pick it up. This is a very, very heavy printer, 52 lb. It is also rather big. Make sure you have place for it. Check the dimensions before you order it. Second: This printer comes with drivers for windows, not for linux. Ricoh is not planning to develop a driver for linux so if that what you have, like I do, you are limited to the generic printer driver. The printer is very powerful, it has colors and is able to print double sided but you need windows for that. I am looking to see if I can get my favorite linux developer (my son) to help me. He hasn't had the time yet.? If I can get it to work on my computer I will buy a second one.
