One user claims it does not work with extended view. Was this correct?
Asked by: DeWayne
Yes, the MuxLab HDMI 1 x 2 Splitter BH #MUHDMI1X2SP is simply a splitter. A splitter will only mirror the same signal, it will not give you independent displays. To get independent displays, you need 2 separate video outputs on the computer.

I hope my question isn't too specialized - I will be grateful for an educated guess. I am using a Fuji XT-3 to shoot video. I have used an HDMI cable to run an external monitor (just a cheap desktop monitor) and, separately, to control an audio recorder's start/stop (the Sound Devices MixPre-3 ii). Of course I want to do both at the same time and this device looks like it might enable me to do that. Does this setup have a fair chance of working?
Asked by: David
This something you'd need to test out to see the results, but we would tend to think a product like this would not pass the needed info to trigger the start/stop recording through HDMI.
