Will this fit Nikkor 500mm f/4.0P IF ED?

Will this fit Nikkor 500mm f/4.0P IF ED?
Asked by: Robert
Unfortunately, we are not sure. The Nikon 500mm f/4.0P ED-IF lens is a much older lens that was released back in March 1988, and has been discontinued for multiple decades; unfortunately, we do not have compatibility information with that lens model. Nikon only indicates that the Nikon Slip-On Front Lens Cap for AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/4E FL ED VR Lens, B&H # NILC5004, is compatible and designed for use with the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 500mm f/4E FL ED VR lens, and they do not list the dimensions for the slip-on lens cover.
