Vivitar VT426 overview

  • 1Description

Featuring a waterproof design, the red ViviCam T426 Digital Camera from Vivitar houses a 12MP CMOS sensor for recording stills or HD 720p videos on land or underwater. The sleek form factor incorporates a fixed 8.5mm f/2.8 lens, and 8x digital zoom offers extended reach for photographing distant subjects. Anti-Shake image stabilization benefits working with distant subjects by compensating for camera shake, and a built-in flash can also be used to provide additional illumination in dim lighting. A rear 2.4" TFT LCD monitor is available for image composition or review, and both smile capture and face detection settings help to ensure clear, smiling portraits.

The CMOS sensor affords a choice of shooting resolutions, ranging from 12MP (4032 x 3024) to VGA (640 x 480) stills, as well as HD 720p, VGA, and QVGA video resolutions.
The 8.5mm f/2.8 lens is benefitted by 8x digital zoom for extended reach when photographing distant subjects.
All-weather construction enables working underwater at depths up to 10'.
Anti-Shake image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld photos.
A rear 2.4" TFT LCD monitor can be used for image composition, playback, and menu navigation.
A built-in flash can be forced on or set to auto flash in order to provide additional illumination.
Auto ISO is available as well as manual control from ISO 50-200.
Exposure compensation allows you to increase or decrease your exposure by up to two stops in 1/3 EV steps.
Two AAA batteries are used to power the camera and a 60 second auto power off function helps to conserve battery life for longer shooting sessions.
Photos and movies can be stored on microSD/SDHC cards up to 32GB in capacity.
A 10 second self-timer function is available.
A manual switch can be used for close-focusing in the Macro mode.
USB 2.0 compatibility for offloading imagery to your computer.
Language support: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
