Scosche RTHM1-9BL overview

  • 1Description

Get consistent and accurate heart rate data with the blue Rhythm+ Heart Rate Activity Monitor from Scosche. The Rhythm+ features PerformTek sensor technology, which is designed to deliver real-time biometric and heart rate data with a high degree of accuracy. This accuracy is owed, in part, to the Rhythm+'s optical array, which is equipped with green and yellow sensors that provide more accurate readings than arrays that only use green sensors.

The Rhythm+'s band is made of breathable neoprene that's designed to fit comfortably over your arm, meaning you won't have to fuss with any kind of chest strap. Because it's compatible with both Bluetooth and ANT+, the Rhythm+ will work with virtually any smart device, including phones, tablets, smart watches, and more. Additionally, the Rhythm+ is compatible with over 200 popular fitness apps.

The Rhythm+ is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts up to 8 hours, so it can keep going for as long as you do, and it's rated IP67 to be waterproof and sweatproof, so you can rely on it in wet and dry weather. Small and large armbands are included.

The Rhythm+ employs patented optical sensor technology for highly accurate monitoring and measurement.
Fitness App-Friendly
Works with the most popular fitness apps - over 200 in all.
Works with Virtually Any Device

Extended use rechargeable battery allows you to work out for up to 8 continuous hours, then simply plug it in with the included charging cable to recharge the Rhythm+ for your next use.
Sweatproof & Waterproof
IP67 sweat and waterproof construction means accurate performance in both dry and wet conditions. Rhythm+ can even be submerged up to 3.3' (1 m) of water.
Green/Yellow Sensor Array
The Rhythm+'s optical array is equipped with green/yellow sensors that provide more accurate readings and performance than arrays that only use green sensors. Additionally, the green/yellow sensors means the Rhythm+ is compatible with and can provide accurate measurements from any skin tone.

    Scosche RTHM1-9BL reviews

Rhythm+ Heart Rate Activity Monitor (Blue) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised Paired with iPhone 6 and Garmin fenix 3 watch. Works flawlessly. I had a cheap Timex HR watch with chest strap (picked up from @ years ago) that I really did not enjoy putting on. It was always a hit and miss with HR detection. I'm sure newer chest straps are better nowadays. However, there's just no comparison with the ease of use with a wrist/arm strap. I have experimented with sliding the Scoche device under my fenix watch strap. This works as well under the wrist. On one occasion, the Scoche slipped out. I either have to tighten the watch strap or get a Nato strap that allows the Scoche device to thread through the watch strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this thing It appears to read accurately, and is comfortable worn on my forearm. It is very easy to use. Push the logo in the middle for 2 seconds, it turns on. Push again for 3 seconds, off. There is a small LED just above the logo which is not visible until it turns on - blue/red flashing when connecting, blinking blue for connected, solid red for a moment when turning off. This must be used with a compatible device; I use the Polar A300 and it works seamlessly with that. On the back are two recessed electrodes for the small recharging cradle that comes with it (other end is USB), and 3 LEDs/sensors to optically measure your heartrate. It just does exactly what it is supposed to - I recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well with Fenix 5 Purchased to supplement a Garmin Fenix 5 watch with built in HR sensor, which I discovered, has a tendency to lag when running, or well in my case jogging. In a search to find the most accurate HR monitor, that was not a chest strap, I researched different products and found the Scosche Rhythm monitor to be highly rated and so decided to purchase. I have used now for several weeks with outside running, and inside on the treadmill running and other activities such as jumping rope. I wear on my forearm. It is easy to use, comfortable and does not lag. When on the treadmill, I compare the reading with the hand held treadmill HR sensors and the rates match. This product deserves the 5 star ratings it has been receiving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Synced perfectly out of the box This is just as accurate as my Garmin chest strap HRM, but without the hassles. I didn't think the chest strap was a hassle until I went to Scosche. I wear it on my upper arm and forget about it. I got a great price from B&H, and I'm a bargain addict when it comes to gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product As Advertised There was a slight delay in receiving the product due to being backordered. B&H kept me updated throughout the delay as to when I might be receiving the product. Once it was shipped, it came in two days (across the country). Package was nicely padded. Heat rate monitor is excellent. Comfortable to wear. Works as advertised. Charges fast. I have swam, ran, and biked with it for several weeks now. Works great with my Garmin watch. I would highly recommend it! Heart Rate data is accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truely works well, without a call to tech support. I used this monitor for cycling and my occasionally run (when weather is bad). I have tested it against my 3 chest straps and 4 head units simultaneously and found it to be accurate. Have used it on forearm, lower bicep, upper bicep and the Rhythm was always accurate compared to my chest straps. I also noticed, no matter which head unit the Rhythm was paired with it always gave me my heartrate first when there was a change like sprinting or a hard push over the top of a hill. I also connected Bluetooth and ANT+ at the same time to see if the systems were shared, and both systems worked on two separate units at the same time flawlessly. The price was a little high for what I wanted to spend. But I will buy another one without hesitation now. Nice to get a product that works correctly out of the box. I wish Scosche made cycling computers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product!! Accurate and efficient! I ride a Peloton bike and had been using the chest strap Ant+ HRM. The Scosche monitor is so much more accurate and dependable! Tracking my rides for a while and impressed with the accuracy and dependability compared with the chest strap monitor. Would and will recommend it to all the Peloton riders I come into contact with. In fact will go on Facebook to laud this one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works greats but mine broke after minor use. I had this thing for about 6 month and its awesome when it was working. This HRM really help me getting fit however it broke. I do not know the reason but before when I turn on the device I see bright green light flashing, now it doesn't do that any more, all the other lights work. I used it every night for a month on my elliptical machine. Its also the main reason I bought this because I mostly run inside. I stopped using it for 2 and half month because I went to another country to visit family. When I came back the light stopped working, but it was just a dead battery after charging it the green flashing lights lit up again. Unfortunately I got sick so now that I'm better and want to work out this thing stopped working again. This time it shows full solid blue light for being fully charged but there is no flashing lights. When I link up with myfitness I just see a constant 72 BPM because there is no detection.
