great idea, not strong enough

I love everything about this idea. However- two major flaws. It's not strong enough to hold the flash at any angle (slides down), especially with and small modifier on it. It also doesn't angle down, so you're limited to how high you can raise it. Please improve, Phottix! I would love a ball-head that works!!

easy.

Using this swivel on a handheld flash and modifier and it works just fine for this purpose. It is much much lighter than the usual units, so really fits for my use on this gadget.

Great swivel head

This swivel head has answered my problems of precisely pointing my strobe where I want. I am using it with an AD200 and a 24" softbox. It seems to be well made and locks in place securely. Would buy this again.

question

Will this attach to a light stand that is not threaded?
Asked by: Teresa
The screw thread is the best way to go, the other way it can get attached is if you have shot - shoe. The bottom is square that fits nicely into hot/cold-shoe and attaches like off-camera flash.

question

Will this screw onto a regular tripod or do I need a light stand?
Asked by: Kristina D.
The hot shoe adapter can be unscrewed and the female fitting will fit on your tripod. There is also an adapter bushing that can be removed for use with the larger stud some models use. If you want to use with a light stand you will need a hot shoe mount or a stud on the light stand equivalent to your tripod stud.
