Good for the price

I used to have a old version of Manfrotto 190 and 141 about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, I lost it. Manfrotto is a trusted brand, so I decided to buy again. Tripod is very good. The head, is not as I expected. The quick release plate is plastic, and it does not have a safty to prevent accidental unlock.

Excellent stand for the money.

This tripod is the best one I have ever owed. I am a 5'2 woman who doesn't have a lot of upper body strength; plus I'm old. This light weight aluminum tripod with 3 way head is so easy to use, carry and set up. I used it on a recent trip to Lake Cumberland, KY. and took timed shots of my family in front of the cottage we rented....there was 7 of us in the images and set up was fast and simple. Every time a shot went off my 3 grandsons would run to the mounted camera on this tripod and check out the image. I shoot with a Nikon D700 and it works well on this tripod. This MK290L TA3-3WUS 290 was a birthday gift from my husband who likes to order from B&H and I must say this was one of my happiest surprises!! Sandy S.

I love this tripod! My favorite part is that the legs stay where you put them so you can pick it up and walk down the aisle in a church and not have to readjust anythinf

I bought two for my studio. They’re great tripods! Solid build with smooth adjustment. Recommended.

Smooth action, positive locking, stable and safe platform for your expensive camera and lens. Just what the doctor ordered for those photographs that require more than a steady hand can provide. Highly recommended.

I have a Canon 70D which says the tripod screw is 3/16" but this tripod says it fits 1/4". Will I need an adaptor?
Asked by: george
Your camera does not have a 3/16"thread it is 1/4-20", yes this tripod will work without any adapter.

question

Does this work with a Canon 80D with efs 10-18 is stm?
Asked by: Pouya B.
Yes, for a wide angle lens like that and an 80D you should be fine. If you ever decide to move up to a larger lens, such as a 70-200, then I would suggest a more robust setup than this.

Yes, I use this with a 6D and a 16-35 2.8 II and it is solid. Great travel tripod with solid legs and a easy to adjust head.

question

Can I use this tripod with Canon 5D Mark III and EF 24-105 lens?
Asked by: Laila Y.
This is a pretty lightweight tripod. I am sure it can sustain the weight but might not survive if someone trips over a leg. I love the tripod except for the fact that it does not extend quite ad high as I would like. I am 6' tall and have to bend over just a bit to use it. Overall - yes it will work.
