A truly versatile lens presented in a sleek form factor, this Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens is designed for APS-C format Canon EF mount DSLRs, where it will provide a 28.8-320mm equivalent focal length range. One hybrid aspherical element and one low dispersion element are incorporated into the optical design, and help to reduce distortions and aberrations throughout the zoom range for sharp, clear, and color-accurate imagery. Vibration Compensation image stabilization is integrated into the lens design, too, and helps to reduce the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting in difficult lighting conditions. Additionally, a DC motor gear train AF drive module is also featured, and helps to maintain fast, accurate focusing performance that is equally smooth and quiet to benefit both stills and video applications. Complementing the expansive zoom range and refined optical design, this 18-200mm also features a moisture-resistant construction to enable working in nearly any situation.

Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II Reviews
Great, except not video wide-zooming
I got this last year to supplant a bulky, heavier, worn 2010 Sigma 17~70 and do part of the Canon 70~300's work. It now stays mounted as my main carry. It has performed well, as expected, for stills and stable limited-zoom video. Stiffness makes video zooming wobbly when in my old hands. It's good for video -- _if_ on a sturdy tripod _and_if_ not going past the transition points, at which it twitches a bit.
good value
I studied this and 2 more expensive options for a new handy wide-to-tele main shooter, supplanting my 17-70 which is acting up. Retired, I don't need the sturdiness and extra oomph of the Canon 18-200:3.5-5.6, nor the extra weight of the Tamron 18-400. After just a couple of casual shoots, this one seems good enough. Short-term, I was most concerned about hunting for focus at f:6.3 instead of the previous limit 5.6. This did well for normal subjects in a moderately bright room and for moderate action in daylight. I have not yet tested further.
A lens for all occasions
good quality and versatility
Great lens, great price!
I'm just getting back into photography and learning again with new modern equipment. This lens helps by making it easier.
First great all around lens!
I wouldn't say I'm a professional, and I'm not a beginner, but of the handful of lenses I own, this is by far my favorite. Yes, there are other pieces of glass out there that are superior, but for the money you spend here, you get a really great lens that's very versatile. If you're new to photography and just want to have something nicer that didn't come with the kit and do not want to be swapping out a variety of lenses while walking around with your family or friends, this lens will cover everything you need. My only "con" just because, nothing is really perfect, is that it might be a touch on the heavier side. Personally I do not mind its weight, I think others might. Once again, for me, I love this lens. If I know I'm going to be doing a ton of walking around and do not want to be swapping different lenses in and out this is my go too and usually first out of my bag on most occasions. I hope this helps you decide to purchase it!
This lens Proved To Be Of Exceptional Value For My Purposes
At having couldn't resolve grainy photo issues with an older model Canon Rebel SL1 I tried out the Tamron 18-200mm for a factory lens replacement. I was honestly stunned by the image quality difference and how well it even captured the subtle textures within my angelic African lions digital painting.
Love this lens!
I love that this lens can be used for most of my shooting needs! I love that I don't have to change lens when shooting large groups or small up close images.
Good design and functionality
Make the work at very reasonable price
