Venom Group 1642 Overview

The large Battery Safety Charging Sack for LiPo and NiMH Batteries from Venom Group helps protect you and surrounding areas from possible fire damage in case of a catastrophic battery failure. It is made from flame-resistant material and features high-temperature, fire-resistant thread-and-latch closures to help contain fire and debris. You can use the safety sack while charging, storing, or transporting your batteries.

Note: The sack's function is intended to act as a flame retardant barrier between the battery and anything within its proximity to help minimize any collateral damage. However, it does not eliminate the risks inherent with charging and handling lithium-ion polymer (LiPo) batteries.

Didn't Last Very Long Under Light Use

Unfortunately, this charging bag was not really durable at all. The stitching on the sides of the bag just started coming undone within the first month or so of use, and I was using it very lightly. I have probably done about 35 battery charges total using this bag with the batteries for my Phantom 3 Advanced, and the sides of the bag have become completely separated. And I don't travel with this bag; it just stays at home and I only use it about once every two weeks or so to charge a couple of batteries at a time. Oh well...

This large size bag is not big enough to accommodate 3 batteries on the charging hub for Mavic Pro. Maybe two but not three.

A probable must have.

Never had a problem charging LiPo batteries, but hey at this price, provides peace of mind. Let's hope we never need to see how well it works.

I got this bag for storage and transport of my DJI Phantom 4 batteried. I put all 3 in there when I transport them you can also fit the 3 banger DJI charging adaptor inside with 3 batteries installed, while charging. The only downside is that it's black and In the Imperial Valley, Black is NOT a good color in the summer so you really need to keep the bag shaded so the batteries don't get too hot. I've recently seen that this brand comes in White but I didn't see that as an option when I ordered it ... but no big deal, just keep it in the shade.

question

Will an Inspire 1 battery fit in this. If so, more than one?
Asked by: Michael
While the bag is tall enough it is not wide enough to securely hold the battery.

question

How do you charge batteries (ie mavic Pro) in this? The charger hub seems too large.
Asked by: Christopher
I most definitely charge batteries in the bag. The charging process is even of higher concern than storage. You insert the charger with the battery(ies) in the bag which as a result bulges up a bit, and you let the charging cable run through the left or right opening at the top. It works fine with standard size charger/battery (e.g. I charge DJI OSMO batteries) but I do not know how large your Mavic PRO is and whether it would fit (A 4 x 6 x 3 combo fits easily)
