General Features
Adobe RGB Wide Color Space
Preserve the colors you captured to help ensure precious moments are remembered. BenQ Photographer Monitors' IPS technology and 99% Adobe RGB color space support provide solid color performance and superwide color range.
2K QHD Monitor
With an increased resolution over Full HD displays, 2K QHD resolution delivers greater clarity of fine details and textures for visually intensive work with more perceptible quality in graphics, designs, and photos that human eyes can see.
AQCOLOR Technology
Devoted to meet the latest professional color standard, BenQ has developed AQCOLOR technology to uphold the concept of "Accurate Reproduction." BenQ has invited a color expert to lead the team, and also actively participated in ICC (International Color Consortium) and ISO (International Standard Organization) to establish color-related standards and implementation.
Enrich Your Palette with 99% Adobe RGB
Fully visualize the true colors of nature. Adobe RGB color space offers a far greater range of color reproduction for shades of blue and green, resulting in a more realistic color representation for outdoor and nature photography. With 10-bit panels producing over one billion colors for natural color transitions and subtle shading, the SW2700PT renders the silky smoothest gradations.
14-Bit 3D LUT and Delta E ≤ 2
The 14-bit 3D look up table (LUT) improves RGB color blending accuracy, resulting in improved color reproduction. Precise Delta E ≤ 2 in both Adobe RGB and sRGB color spaces renders a true and representative view of the original image.
Hardware Calibration
Hardware calibration allows you to adjust the image processing chip in the monitor without changing the graphic card output data. It keeps images consistent with its original copies without being affected by graphic settings.
Palette Master Element Calibration Software
With the use of Palette Master Element and a calibrator, you can tune and maintain the color performance of the monitor at its most optimal state.
Professionally Factory Calibrated for Exacting Color Accuracy
Each BenQ Photographer Monitor is individually factory-calibrated upon production to help assure precise Delta-E and Gamma performance. Achieving an average Delta E ≤ 2 in both Adobe RGB & sRGB color spaces, calibration results are validated against industry color standards to deliver a true and representative view of original content.
OSD Controller
The OSD controller is a remote controller that comes with three preset buttons, each set up with a customized display setting such as photo editing, entertainment, or web surfing. This allows you to switch between the presets without going through settings. The OSD controller also comes with a button for quick OSD navigation and setting.
Black-and-White Mode
With a simple click of a button, you can preview color photos in black-and-white before adding the actual effect.
Hotkey Puck
Hotkey Puck lets you switch between Adobe RGB, sRGB, and Black & White modes effortlessly. The buttons can also be customized to map other modes or OSD settings, such as brightness and contrast to bring added convenience to photographers.
Shading Hood
The SW2700PT includes a detachable shading hood that effectively reduces screen glare from ambient lighting, ensuring levels of color accuracy that are required for professional work.
Eye-Care Technology
BenQ eye-care technologies reduce eye fatigue for user comfort, enhanced productivity, and workplace safety during extended use.

BenQ SW2700PT Reviews

BenQ SW2700PT and B&H, Best Deal Ever

By Scott

Date: 2021-06-02

After weeks of researching what my best and most cost effective options were regarding a new monitor for photographic work, I determined that the BenQ SW2700PT from B&H was the best and smartest choice. To my surprise I found a 10% discount associated with the 2021 Lightroom Summit on the last day of its offering. I couldn't get the B&H online order to accept the code. Thinking I missed the window, I called B&H direct and they so graciously worked thru the code issue. The problem was actually on the Summit site and NOT B&H. So they got the order set up and ready to go. Well, then I realized it would be delivered when I was out of town for several days. So I called B&H again and they rescheduled the delivery of the monitor for after I was back in town. Gracious, accommodating, efficient and kind! Excellent service. Thank you B&H. And BTY, the monitor arrived in excellent condition. Sincerely Scott

I was quite happy with them but after about 4 years, within weeks of each other one went dark on part of the display, and the other just goes off and on every 5 to 10 seconds. Both unusable. Contacted BenQ. They told me too bad, out of warranty. Not buying BenQ again. Period. Granted they are 4 years old, but still for a $600 monitor I expect a longer life. And both failed! I

You can't go wrong with color, if you use this with a Datacolor Spyder (X). I have a fully calibrated workflow for when I print. This has been the biggest game changer for me, as now I know, WISIWIG when I post online or print on multiple mediums.

I am a photographer and process photos using Lightroom + Photoshop. These are the most cost effective 99% Adobe RGB accurate monitors I could find. I find the colors to be accurate. 27 is a good size to have two of these side by side on a standard size desk. It comes with a light shield to prevent the colors getting washed out by my ceiling lights (a nice addition).

BenQ SW2700PT 27 16:9 Photographer IPS Monitor

So far it is as advertised. Use it (obviously) for photography, mostly with Lightroom and some Topaz apps. Pretty easy to set up but really hard, as are most monitors, to connect the cables. Since it is a fairly heavy monitor and the connections are very well hidden on the back, had to use a flashlight and mirror to see to connect it to the computer and almost dropped it a couple of times. Wish monitor manufacturers could find a way to place the connections in an easier location. Only other (minor) complaint is the underneath middle section of the hood is very shiny and somewhat distracts when processing photos in a dark room due to the small amount of glare. Other than that, great color, etc......

Absolute game changer

I'm a photographer coming from an HP 22 CWA 21.5 inch IPS monitor that was calibrated with a SpyderX Pro. While that setup was capable of getting the job done, I had no idea what I was missing. The BenQ SW2700PT monitor is a feature-rich workhorse with excellent hardware calibration and setup. This paired alongside my SpyderX Pro is astounding in accurate color representation. I'd heard rumors of how great this monitor was and now, I can't see myself ever going back!

You will probably need a USB-C digital AV multiport adapter. Type "is benq SW2700PT 27 compatible with ipad pro" into a search engine and look at the discussions thread for apple.

question

I'm interested in this monitor but am concerned about the panel type used. It is not an actual IPS panel, but an AHVA (IPS) panel according to BenQ's own spec sheet. In the past, my experience with VA type panels meant that contrast and black levels aren't true unless you are viewing from a slightly off angle. Can anyone who has purchased this monitor confirm that straight-on viewing shows no change in contrast or black levels vs off-angle viewing? Thanks!

Is there notable difference in screen quality, with a DVI connection, compared to a HDMI connection?
Asked by: Kayleene
I used the display port on my Mac Mini and it said that it was getting the signal correctly. My older Mac mini displays enough resolution for this monitor. The non display port connections are limited (I think) by their design. This link should help: https://www.expertreviews.co.uk/accessories/pc-monitors/1404476/hdmi-vs-displayport-vs-dvi-vs-vga-every-connection-explained The monitor itself is excellent but the Mac will not support a full enough range of screen font sizes to make the font big enough to read so I sent it back and will get a 32" as a replacement to raise the font size.

This might be the dumbest question ever ...

This might be the dumbest question ever submitted, but apparently the BenQ SW2700PT is very good for a mid-level priced monitor for photo editing and viewing. What I want to know is will this monitor work just as well for surfing the Internet, doing email, and using Microsoft Office products? I'm guessing the answer is yes, but since I will be using this monitor for a variety of uses, I want to make sure before I spend the money. Thanks!
Asked by: Lawrence
You bet it will! If it's good enough for photo-editing and color critical works, it'll for sure be suitable for the regular usage such as surfing hte internet, Office applications, etc.. The SW2700PT is the monitor for all your regular needs, photo-editing needs and more! thanks.

I don't like monitors that sit high off the desk. How close to the desk surface will the monitor go?
Asked by: Anonymous
I honestly don’t know. I’ve never used the included BenQ monitor stand. I mounted my monitor on a swing arm monitor stand. It will allow the monitor to sit on the desk if I wish, but I like it higher than that so that I can slide a keyboard under the monitor when not in use.
