The nickel-plated TB-PG1 Pearly Gates Trembucker from Seymour Duncan is a humbucking pickup with wide pole piece spacing for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide-spaced hardtail bridge (2" or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). Like the SH-PG1B Pearly Gates, the TB-PG1 is a PAF-style bridge pickup based on the stock bridge pickup in ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons' 1959 Les Paul. This pickup offers slightly more output and gain than most '50s PAFs, giving it some extra drive and plenty of rude Texas attitude. Great for rhythm and lead, the Pearly Gates bridge pickup offers a focused high end that cuts through the mix with an open and airy treble attack, and its emphasized midrange helps to enhance the pickup's natural growl and sizzle, bringing any guitar to life. The TB-PG1 utilizes an alnico 2 bar magnet, a nickel-silver bottom plate, as well as a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The TB-PG1 is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA.
