IDX System Technology LC-2A Overview

The IDX LC-2A Two-Channel Charger comes with five pairs of interchangeable battery plates for select 7.4V Canon, Panasonic, and Sony DV batteries (see full list below). It allows you to quick-charge up to two different battery types simultaneously by mixing any two of the included battery plates. The LC-2A supports 100 to 240V worldwide power input, so it can be used internationally if you incorporate the proper plug adapter, sold separately.

The compact, portable charger features LED indicators that communicate charging status. At the same time, it's designed with thermal monitoring and quick-charge safeguard, which causes it to automatically stop charging when the battery is full so as not to damage the battery. Also, if the charger is inactive for one hour, it will power down entirely.

What is in the box? What batteries does it charge for Panasonic?r

Included in the box are five types of battery plates, two each, for a total of ten. It has two types of Panasonic plates. The Panasonic batteries it can charge are secured: VW-VBG6, VW, VBG260, unsecured: VW-VBD55, VW-VBD58

I lost the power supply form mine. Which one will fit? IDX customer suport was useless and their manual does not say which pin fits the charger.

Unfortunately, the manufacture does not offer the ac cables of the box. What are the technical differences between this ...

What are the technical differences between this and Watson Duo LCD Charger? For example, will this charge batteries faster?

We are not aware of any difference in charging time between this and the Watson Duo. This product does come with the various plates already, where as the Watson Duo will come with plates for one kind of battery and require you to purchase additional plates. This system also has the safety feature of powering down when inactive for an hour.

Is there any advantage in buying this charger ...

Is there any advantage in buying this charger over the Watson Charger (BH #WADSOLM) other than the included battery plates (which are only $1.99 each with Watson)? Is it a better charger for battery health and longevity?

Both are great options, this model happens to come with the added convenience of the included battery plates. However the Watson Duo is a very nice choice as well.

Would this charge the larger AG-VBR89G batteries? ...

Would this charge the larger AG-VBR89G batteries? It does seem as if the VW-VBD58 is the same as the AG-VBR59. I don't know the difference but hopefully since it charges the smaller battery, hopefully it would also charge the larger capacity as well.

Why won't my Canon LP-E6NH batteries charge in ...

Why won't my Canon LP-E6NH batteries charge in this unit? The red light flashes and the batteries do not charge. These are genuine Canon batteries purchased from BHPhoto, and these batteries do charge in my cheap-o single charger.

The IDX System Technology LC-2A Two-Channel Charger will only support the Canon batteries listed. It does not support the Canon LPE6NH. Canon BP-955, BP-975, LP-E6
