frei:raum from Sonible is a fully interactive equalizer plug-in containing three components that allow for adjusting the spectral content of a track, adjusting the relationship of the dry signal and reverb in a pre-recorded track, or adjusting the tonal relationships of instruments. Smart EQ can either be used in a classical mode for manual adjustment, or in the "smart" mode that offers automatic detection and removal of problematic resonances in different frequency bands.
The proximity EQ can easily adjust the relation of direct sound and reverb within any frequency range for flexible de-reverberation, or to increase the natural "diffuse sound" of a recording. The entropy EQ separates the tonal components (e.g. sustained notes) from inharmonic parts (e.g. drum attacks) to allow for freely adjusting the tonal characteristics of the sound at any given frequency. This allows for turning up picking sounds or playing with the sharpness of the snare drum.
