See the world beneath your boat, or pier, with the Micro 5 Plus Underwater Camera System with 5" LCD Display & 1MP Zoom Camera from Aqua-Vu. The camera has an operating depth of up to 100 feet, so you can study deep environments with the 5" color monitor while remaining dry on the surface. This system is ideal for saltwater, freshwater, and ice fishing, but may also be used for various other applications, such as explorations and inspections.

The camera features a color 1/4" image sensor for streaming the live video feed to the monitor, which is connected via the supplied 100 foot cable. Additionally, the camera is equipped with two infrared LED lights to enhance visibility in dark conditions and murky water without spooking fish, and offers a wide 90° angle of view for ample coverage. You can angle the camera down or to the side depending on your needs. Power to the underwater viewing system is provided by the internal, rechargeable, 12V, lithium-ion battery, which fits securely inside the monitor base.

Applications
  • Fishing from a boat or pier: lower the camera into the water and use the monitor to help locate fish and determine species and size
  • Ice-fishing: lower the camera into the water through the hole in the ice, and use the monitor to see fish as they approach. Can also see how fish react to different types of bait, lures, colors, and movements. Fish and view through same hole or use one hole for fishing and another for viewing
  • Exploring underwater sea life and environments
  • Checking waters for safety before going swimming
  • Performing inspections under your boat
Operation
  • Insert supplied cable into rear slot on camera's stabilizing fin, causing lens to point downward
  • Fin keeps camera pointed in the direction your boat is traveling
  • Raise or lower cable with your hand to move camera up and down
  • Let cable out or take it in as needed, depending on depth and boat speed
  • Recommended camera speed for optimal viewing is less than 1.7 knots / 2 mph
  • Optional, adjustable ICE-POD can be set over hole when ice-fishing and can hold cable for you
  • Optional MO-POD 3 motorized, remote-controlled unit offers convenient hands-free camera rotation
  • Camera orientation can be controlled using optional weights
Live Video
  • Camera with 1 MP color camera
  • Does not capture video or photos, but streams live video from underwater to topside 5" color LCD monitor, which features adjustable viewing angle and flip-up sun shield for better visibility
  • Video out jack for connecting monitor to handheld camcorder, video recorder, or a larger NTSC external monitor, such as a TV. If connecting to a camcorder, you can view and record video at the same time. Use any optional RCA-style patch cord, which comes with most camcorders
  • Ideal for use on large boat with built-in video system, or in winter "fish house"
  • Automatically switches to black and white in low light
  • Infrared illumination system with on/off control to enhance your view of the world beneath the surface
