Manfrotto PIXI EVO Reviews
It's nice for what it is pretty stable I like it
Okay for what it is
I've never seen a really good table top tripod, although I'm sure they must exist. This one is not bad, it works well and is the best TTT that I've owned. Great if you have a lightish weight camera/lens. I can see it would be potentially brilliant for macro work. All in all not bad given the reasonable price tag. Designed in Italy made in China.
The flat position came in handy on a very windy day. Got the shot. Very portable. Light. Exactly what I needed.
Seems Ok, if a little flimsy
I'm not sure how this will stand up to prolonged use. The ball and clamp are plastic and overall I would have preferred an aluminum head, but then the price would be higher. However, it seems fine for light duty, but I wouldn't be putting a Z9 on it. My use is to hold accessories such as LED lights and reflectors and it's fine for that use.
A great tripod for a cellphone or compact camera
I've purchased both the Manfrotto Pixi Evo tripod and the smaller Pixi Smart Mini from B&H. Both are very well-made, sturdy little tripods, but I prefer the Evo. The Mini's height is a fixed 5 inches, but the Evo's legs are extendible, and can be operated in two modes, wide and narrow, giving the tripod a height varying from 4 to almost 8 inches. At every height, the Evo's feet cover a bit more area than the Mini, so that the Evo provides more stability. The Evo will also support more than twice as much weight (5.5 lb) as will the Mini (2.2 lb). For use only with a cell phone, the Mini is probably more than adequate, but to support a more substantial compact camera, the Evo will prove more flexible. In fact, the only great advantage of the Mini is that in comes with a smartphone clamp. If you opt for the Evo instead, you might consider buying the Xuma Smartphone Mount as well.
Another great mini tripod from Manfrotto
This is another great product from B&H, they have great selections, prices and services. I am really confident and enjoying it. Also, I always highly recommend B&H to everyone. Thank you.
Great for pinhole photography
I use this with my pinhole cameras to get low to the ground. They work great and are highly adjustable and not too heavy.
Perfect tabletop set up
I ordered this to mount a Nikon Z6 with a 107mm macro lens for taking close up shots. Yes, macros. I like the adjustability of the legs and how well it handles the weight of the gear. Great Manfrotto design. Clever leg extensions and the ability to rotate the ball head for portraits. Great service from B&H handling my order and getting it to me quickly. Very much appreciated.
