Canon MG6821 Overview

The Wi-Fi enabled black/silver PIXMA MG6821 Wireless Photo All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Canon provides 4800 x 1200 dpi photo printing with a two-sided duplex option in a versatile unit that is also capable of scanning and copying. The print system utilizes a 5-color ChromaLife100+ ink setup that works with FINE print heads to produce detailed imagery with drop sizes as small as 2 pl. The MG6821 is also fast with the ability to create a 4 x 6" borderless print in 41 seconds, and can print borderless at sizes up to 8.5" wide.

Scanning is possible through the inclusion of a flatbed capable of handling documents up to 8.5 x 11.7". The MG6821 features an optical scan resolution up to 2400 x 1200 dpi which can be interpolated into a 19200 x 19200 dpi final image. Copying is also available through this flatbed and the printer can produce up to 99 copies at a time. It will also provide users with a first copy out time of 18 seconds.

Viewing and changing settings is simple with the 3.0" touchscreen LCD display on the front panel. There are also SD and Memory Stick Duo card slots available for direct photo printing. And, in addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the MG6821 features USB 2.0 for direct connection to a computer.

The ChromaLife100+ hybrid five-color ink system features five individual ink tanks with four dye-based inks and one pigmented black ink to produce crisp text and vivid colors. It also works with FINE print head technology to help create borderless photos that will last up to 300 years when placed in archival storage.
Documents can be printed at a rate of 15 ipm in black or 9.7 ipm in color.
Automatic duplex print will automatically print on both sides of the paper to reduce paper usage.
Auto power on conveniently powers up the unit whenever you send a photo or document to be printed.
My Image Garden software lets you access, organize, and personalize your photographs.
Full HD Movie Print allows you to take a still from full HD movie clips captured with Canon cameras and print them.
Quiet mode allows you to work without disturbing others.
PIXMA Printing Solutions app allows you to print and scan photos or documents from compatible mobile devices. You can also use the cloud print function to print directly from select online cloud services at the printer itself or via the mobile device.
Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print are available.
Wireless PictBridge lets you print photos directly from a camera connected to the same wireless network as the printer.
Print a PDF or JPG from email by sending it directly to the printer.
