The natural KA-SMHC from Kala is a Solid Mahogany Series Concert Ukulele with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Provided with a satin finish and trimmed with faux tortoise shell binding with black and white trim along the edge, it can be used by musicians and students for applications such as rehearsals, recordings, theaters, schools, on live stages, and more.
The KA-SMHC ukulele measures 24-3/8" overall in body length. It has an upper bout of 6", a lower bout of 8-1/4", and a waist of 5". The 2-1/4 to 2-3/4" arched back body depth provides a clean sound with excellent projection. Furthermore, the NuBone XB nut and saddle deliver increased volume and sustained tone, while adding clarity to each note. The built-in chrome die-cast tuners ensure the instrument will stay in tune.
Finally, the Solid Mahogany Series Concert Ukulele's rosewood fingerboard has markings on the neck at the 5th, 7th, 10th, and 12th position to help identify its 20 silver nickel fret positions. The instrument is set up with Aquila Nylgut strings.
