BML Horn Phalanx from Spitfire Audio is part of The British Modular Library, an ongoing project to provide composers with the ability to add fine detail and musical expression to their compositions. This volume features a six-piece horn ensemble, seated exactly in situ, and performing all essential and additional articulations. Moreover, when combined with other BML modules or the Albion range, everything slots together like an orchestral jigsaw puzzle.
The library features multiple round robins, dynamic layers and easily usable, fully functional legato. The Ostinatum section of the instrument is not quite an arpegiattor, nor a sequencer, but a device that allows for building complex patterns dependent on what's being played. The results can be tantalizing tension beds, or "cheeky" multi-tonguing effects.
Additionally, the samples are presented with numerous microphone positions which can be mixed and blended together to fit a current application, and also automated for dramatic shifts in focus and depth. A full version of KONTAKT 5 is required to utilize this sample library.
