A 7-blade diaphragm allows for pleasing out of focus areas while two UD lens elements help to minimize chromatic aberrations and reduce color blurring around the edges of the subject. In addition, two aspherical lenses are combined to help reduce spherical aberration over the entire image area, as well as through the full zoom range. Super Spectra lens coatings help ensure accurate color balance and high contrast while minimizing ghosting.

I have several lenses for my M5 and M3, including the 18-150mm, 15-45mm and the 22mm. I also have the adapter for the M series and the Canon 10-18mm lens for my Canon 77d, which may be the best ASP-C camera they have made. Do I need this lens? What would be the advantage justifying spending $399 plus filter?
Using this lens gives you a direct mount to your EOS M5 or M3, despite it not being as wide as the Canon 10-18mm IS STM lens.
