The Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 18-35mm, and features continuous AF with a built-in STM stepping AF motor to provide smooth, near-silent performance that is especially beneficial to video recording. An Optical Image Stabilizer helps to compensate for up to 3 stops of camera shake, while Dynamic Image Stabilization corrects for a wide range of motion while shooting video.
A 7-blade diaphragm allows for pleasing out of focus areas while two UD lens elements help to minimize chromatic aberrations and reduce color blurring around the edges of the subject. In addition, two aspherical lenses are combined to help reduce spherical aberration over the entire image area, as well as through the full zoom range. Super Spectra lens coatings help ensure accurate color balance and high contrast while minimizing ghosting.

Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Reviews
Cheap Junk
I know a lot of people have this lens because it feels a need on the M mount that is lacking elsewhere, but this is one of the worst wide angle lenses on the market. People who want to use the amazing tech on the M series cameras and who need a wide angle lens or a blogging lens, your only real other option is the Venus 9mm, which is a bit soft and manual focus, but overall a much better investment. The first issue is with extreme barrel distortion at the lower focal length. This all but makes this a useless lens until about 15mm, which then you might as well use the 15-45 or the 22 f2. Yes it is a sharp lens, but what is sharp is distorted and crooked. I would not use this lens for things like architectural or landscape for this reason. I am a professional event photographer and absolutely love the M6ii as an event camera. Fast autofocus and high megapixel and some pretty grate portrait lenses for not a lot of money. A wide angle lens isn't a workhorse for me, but used for wide angles of the venue and the crowd. After less than two years of infrequent and light use, the lens refused to turn on. I looked up the problem and apparently it is quite frequent with the this lens, where the motor to the aperture gives out is practically unfixable. The cost of repair from Canon is more than a new lens. I won't be repurchasing and instead looking at a manual focus 12mm from a third party. Beware the people that are writing reviews that this is a great wide angle lens or a great alternative to very expensive alternatives. There are much cheaper third party lenses that have much less distortion.
A very useful lens.
Good lens, useful range (22 equivalent to 35mm on full frame), small and light.
