The K-Tek Stingray Junior is an audio mixer recorder bag designed for small rigs with a couple of wireless receivers and transmitters. Like its larger brethren, the Stingray Junior offers a dual full vertical frame that allows the bag to better stand on its own, while protecting equipment and providing full access to the sides and bottom of the mixer recorder to access connectors and media. The large trap door on the bottom and zippered side access panels complement the accessibility offered by the frame and further ease setup, cabling, and battery swaps.

Oversized side pockets offer plenty of room to store NP batteries, while Hook-and-Loop access allows cabling from side pockets into the main compartment. A separate front compartment can be expanded or closed tight and is protected by a rigid front panel. Various cable pass-through locations and smart storage points allow for versatility when using various equipment choices and recording environments. Web loops, Molle straps, and D-Rings offer plenty of rigging points for additional accessories and allow the Stingray Jr. to be connected by harnesses and waist-belts. The built-in kickstand allows the bag to sit at an angle when placed on a tabletop or when resting on the ground. The Stingray Jr. ships with an adjustable shelf divider, a shoulder strap, a clear shield, and a stealth cover.

Stingray Junior - Audio Mixer Recorder Bag is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact Lightweight Audio Solution I use the Stingray Junior paired with a SD633 mixer/recorder and (2) Lectrosonics UCR411a wireless receivers. I am a professional sound mixer and have used virtually all mixer bags ever made for a variety of field mixers I have owned throughout my 25+ year career. I am now at the point in my career where I benefit greatly from downsizing and keeping my field package small and light - often a challenge for most production sound mixers working for a variety of clients with disparate audio needs. The new Junior model serves most of my needs well and helps make my jobs more bearable with a few caveats: 1. The storage areas on either end of the mixer are great as long as you don't put anything larger than a couple of lab mics or spare batteries in them, as anything larger will interfere with in/out cable connectors. 2. No pocket for professional headphones (MDR-7506). Sure, you could lash them on the outside with Velcro straps, but c'mon! 3. The touted NP-1 bottom access flap is grossly inadequate considering one must connect an NP-1 cup or cup/distro combo. When paired with the NP-1 battery, one cannot access the battery easily as advertised. 4. The clear plastic (oversized) window flap is great but should have a Velcro attachment point to mate with the front wireless compartment to protect that as well. On the positive side, the new design offers a flip out stand to facilitate horizontal operation, and the repositionable new strap mounts are handy. All in all, a nice compact lightweight audio bag solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Minimalistic Bag With Perks I already own a K-Tek Small Stingray Bag for my Sound Devices 633 mixer and am a huge fan of the Stingray line up for a number of reasons. I've been toying with the idea of getting the Stingray Jr Bag for some shoots with the 633 to shed some extra ounces, but could not justify the purchase until I got a gig with a producer for seven out-of-state shoots using his Zoom F8 mixer (he'd doesn't have a bag for his F8). The fact that I already had a Stingray harness for man on the street interviews it just made sense to pull the trigger on the Jr. Bag to house and protect the Zoom F8 when flying for out of state locations. I know a lot of sound mixers when they look at small bags want a barebones bag to shave as much weight as possible with no bells or whistles. This is not a barebones bag by that definition, but it is a functional small bag. I would describe it as a minimalistic bag with perks. I like having the side pockets to carry a notepad, pens, spare media cards, card reader, lav accessories, gloves, etc. I have an OTT book lamp in one of the pockets for evening shoots and dark interiors. I'm using the producer's F8 in this case primarily to conduct a series of round table discussions with eight talent. I've got to admit that I really enjoy using this bag with the F8. Great handles that recess into the bag. It has a built-in kick stand to angle the bag towards you on a surface. I'm using a HOSA Little Brother 8 channel 50-foot sub snake for these shoots, and the side pockets zip open making it easy to hook up all the cabling. Plus having other K-Tek Stingray accessories and the Stingray harness make using this bag pure joy. After using this bag for a number of shoots I personally think it may be too small for my liking to use on a regular basis--especially if you're in the position of having to keep changing your cabling--with the Sound Devices 633, but for smaller mixers like the Zoom F8 this bag it is a no brainer. Well played K-Tek!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great size for a mix-pre 10T perfect for a low-profile mix-pre 10T set up. the side hanging straps allow for Hirose power connector to avoid strain. If you're looking for additional space for 8 receivers and transmitters etc... then I'd advise a bigger version, but for simple, one man band corporate gigs where you might be iso-ing a couple of wires, and actively booming; then this is perfect

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Wow! I love this bag. It is so well made and works perfect for my Zoom F8. Amazed at how much space is available in the side pockets, more than I thought. Love how the bottom opens for a battery pack. Very well designed piece of audio equipment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just a little small I really wanted to live this nag buts it's just a little too small if you say need to unplug anything it's really hard to get to the release pins on the xLR or ta3

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lil bag, will get lots of use. Paired with the Stingray Harness, this lil guy is great. Plenty of flexibility, and space for a small kit.
