Will this fit a Rode NTG2?

Yes. The NTG2 diameter is only 22 mm. Mkh 416 (which is listed as one of the mics to fit) is 19 so those rubber bands will stretch the extra 3 mm w/out issue.

Don't see why not...the MKH 50m is 6mm larger dia. but that shouldn't be a problem for the elastic to go over.

What is the shock mount setup you are using with your MKH 416 Jerry? I am using Rode desktop boom arm and wanted something like this to give extra versatility.

I am using the Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension - Lyre Shockmount. Excellent shock mount for just about any shotgun mic. I have it on a Rose boom arm also.
