The RPS Linux3U Rackmount 8 5U from Cubix consists of a HostEngine 3U computer which is connected to the Xpander Rackmount 8 5U.

Xpander Rackmount 8, 5U RPS includes 2 main interface boards (MIBs) with a redundant power supply for each MIB. The Xpander Rackmount 8, 5U RPS uses 5U vertical rack space and supports a total of eight NVIDIA Grid K2s. Up to four Grid K2s can be loaded on each MIB. It also comes equipped with one AMD FirePro W2100 and two NVIDIA Quadro K5200 graphics cards.

The HostEngine 3U RP is a solidly-built server chassis that features 1000W redundant power. The HostEngine 3U RP can support up to 1TB of memory and up to four SATA 3.0 connectors. The system is loaded with CentOS Linux 6.4, all updates and drivers, as well as Cubix GPU Manager, for monitoring the health and performance of both the GPUs and Xpander.

  • HostEngine 3U RP Rackmount Computer with Redundant Power

    The Cubix HostEngine 3U RP Rackmount Computer features dual Intel Xeon E5-2660v3 processors with the Intel C612 chipset and a power supply with redundant modules. It offers four PCIe gen 3.0 x16 expansion slots. Each slot can accommodate a half-height, half-length controller such as the Cubix HIC (Host Interface Controller) that connects to Cubix Xpander products. Each HIC can connect to multiple slots within an Xpander Rackmount 8 or other Xpander products.

    By connecting the HostEngine 3U RP to Xpander Rackmount 8, you can add eight double-wide GPUs such as NVIDIA Quadro K5200 or M6000 for running Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, Autodesk 3ds Max or Bunkspeed Shot with Mental Images iray on Linux or Microsoft Windows. Connecting to Xpander Rackmount 8 also enables you to connect to GPU Compute Engines such as NVIDIA Tesla K40 / K80. You can also connect to AMD Firepro S9100 / 9150 / 9170 for HPC applications, as well as Grid K2 for virtual desktop projects or multiple Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors for parallel processing.
