Sunpak QSX Ultra Pro Overview

  • 1Description

The QSX Ultra Pro Aluminum Tripod from Sunpak is a 3-section support that can hold up to 11 lb and extends from 19 to 71.7" high. The leg's flip locks allow you to set your initial height, and the geared center column allows you to precisely adjust the height further. Self-adjusting rubber feet can be twisted to reveal metal spikes for stability on a variety of surfaces.

The tripod's head is a 3-way pan/tilt head with an extendable handle for smooth pans and tilts. Two quick release plates are included so that you can quickly detach one camera and mount another without switching the plate. Bubble levels on the head and chassis help maintain even horizons.

    Sunpak QSX Ultra Pro Reviews

QSX Ultra Pro Aluminum Tripod is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bang for your buck tripod I love this product! Tripod has great height and is extremely sturdy. The pivot head is pretty fluid and easily controlled and it comes with two plates. The crank that extends the height of the plate almost 2 feet is awesome. Works awesome giving different vantage points for dslr users. The tripod is a bit bulky to carry and probably won't fit on most smaller bag/backpacks and the legs on the sticks can get stuck from time to time but that is nothing a little WB40 can't fix. All in all awesome tripod for folks on a budget.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Legs So I personally use this tripod for its legs. It has very solid built legs and feet and is a sound bottom for a tripod. What I do is get a professional Manfrotto or similar head with thread adapter (purchase separately) and put that head on these legs. It turns out to be a great system for less. I purchased this tripod for Daily Deal on B&H, and a separate professional head on @ for a total of $.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of features This tripod has many nice features and has sturdy construction. I don't like the way the top leg locks work when setting the leg angles... seems like a design flaw. I've only had it for a week so maybe it's just getting to know it's operation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed When I bought this tripod priced at $ I was expecting much more. I noticed a couple of problems:1. When I mounted the camera I noticed that the tripod wasn't ballenced correctly.2. A very essential spring in the tripod was missing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise... This tripod is way more than I expected! It's rugged, easy to set up and use, and would match any tripod costing three times as much.

    question

Does this tripod have a hook to hang a weight for stability?
    Asked by: Shirley G.
Can't tell from the small photo but why not tie and hang a sand-bag, brick, etc., on a rope around the center shaft, above the bracket for the tops of the legs?
