VIER from Eisenberg is a virtual instrument that emulates four units of the Doepfer MS-404, a renowned 90's German monophonic analog synthesizer. Since the original hardware was monophonic, being able to play sounds polyphonically fulfills the desires of many musicians. The software uses modern technologies for the sound engine, including anti-aliasing oscillators which are capable of audio range modulation, and zero delay feedback filters.
The instrument offers a wide range of options for parameter linking and cross modulation. All parameters may be freely grouped and linked with each other. Intelligent voice management dynamically assigns pressed keys and played notes to the different units. The parameter linking allows building groups which can be manipulated and modulated by macro parameters. Each of the units themselves can be operated with unlimited polyphony.
