The ASUS 17.3" Republic of Gamers G752VY Gaming Notebook comes with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM that is geared towards high-resolution gaming at fast frame rates. To maintain smooth and stable gaming, a Mobile 3D Vapor Chamber efficiently cools the dedicated graphics card. For running multiple productivity workloads, it sports a quad-core 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-6820HK processor that can achieve speeds up to 3.6 GHz when demanding applications are loaded.
For short-term memory, it is outfitted with 64GB of DDR4 memory, which is the maximum amount of memory this notebook can support. ASUS has preloaded Windows 10 Home on the 512GB PCI-based SSD that provides fast boot up times as well as quick access to your files. With a 1TB hard drive, you will have ample storage capacity to store your videos, photos, and other digital content. Moreover, a backlit SteelSeries keyboard with anti-ghosting keys ensures your commands are instantaneously and correctly interpreted—even if you press up to 30 keys simultaneously.
The 17.3" display has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 so you can view the details in photos. It also comes built with an IPS panel that delivers accurate colors and wide-viewing angles. To expand the on-screen workspace, this notebook can connect with an HDMI-capable display. Other notable connections include four USB 3.0 ports as well as a USB Type-C connector, which utilizes Intel's Thunderbolt technologies. For audio, it is equipped with speakers as well as a subwoofer along with microphone and headphone jacks.
This notebook is built with an 802.11ac Wi-Fi module and Gigabit Ethernet controller to access the network wirelessly or wired. Another included wireless technology is Bluetooth 4.0, which connects with a headset or mouse. With an integrated card reader, this notebook can import or export content to a mobile device using optional SD and MMC memory cards. You can also create Blu-ray home movies with the Blu-ray burner. In addition, a digital array microphone and webcam are built into this G752VY Gaming Notebook.
Intel Skylake Processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX Graphics
The ROG G752 gives you computing performance thanks to a 6th-generation Intel Skylake Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics card.
Mobile 3D Vapor Chamber
To maintain smooth and stable gaming, a Mobile 3D Vapor Chamber and copper heat pipe create an effective and efficient cooling system that helps boost GPU performance by up to 6%.
Dust-Release Thermal Tunnel
ASUS has equipped the ROG G752 with a unique thermal design that helps prevent internal dust build-up inside the notebook. This design directs the dust into an anti-dust tunnel to keep it away from internal components. This effect prolongs the component's lifespan and enhances the overall stability of the notebook.
Dedicated Cooling Modules
The ROG G752 comes with dedicated cooling modules for the processor and GPU to cool each component. For more comfortable gaming sessions, hot air is expelled through the rear vents to direct heat away from you.
Backlit Anti-Ghosting Keyboard with 30-Key Rollover
Anti-ghosting keys ensure your commands are instantaneously and correctly interpreted—even if you press up to 30 keys simultaneously. With more macro keys at your disposal, everything you need is at your fingertips. Each key has a travel distance of 2.5mm, which gives you responsive keystrokes when typing and entering commands.
The ROG G752 uses DDR4 memory modules that provide the system 20% more performance and 30% more power efficiency over DDR3.
NVM Express (NVMe) SSD technology provides fast data read and write speeds. Compared to Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI), NVMe not only maximizes sequential read and write speeds, but also minimizes random reading and writing latency. This technology delivers faster system processes and gameplay.
ROG Gaming Center
This software-based control center gives you access to most functions you need such as finding system information, setting up hotkeys for faster in-game commands, adjusting audio settings, or recording gameplay.
ASUS includes a lifetime XSplit Gamecaster account for you to record or stream games. All it takes is one keystroke for you to start up the application and start streaming your gaming session.
Sonic Suite 2
ASUS and Nahimic have developed the Sonic Suite 2 for the ROG G752. This suite contains Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar to give you an immersive gaming audio experience. Sonic Studio provides high quality gaming audio as well as improved streaming and audio recording for optimal voice pickup and noise reduction. Sonic Radar helps you detect opponents through an on-screen overlay that shows the relative position of gunshots, footsteps, and other in-game sound effects.
Onboard Intel Thunderbolt technology provides signal transmission rates of up to 20 Gb/s, which is twice the bandwidth of USB 3.1. The ROG G752 utilizes Intel Thunderbolt technology and a USB Type-C connector to support multiple devices connected via a single cable.
The 17.3" display is built with NVIDIA's G-Sync technology which synchronizes the display's refresh rate with the NVIDIA GTX GPU for smooth visuals. G-Sync helps avoid lag, minimizes frame-rate stutter, and eliminates visual tearing.
Windows 10 Home
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
