is it possible to control the canon 600 rt and change the zoom of the flash?
Asked by: Davide
I have a 600rt and the newer 600rt II. The flash unit zoom function cannot be controlled on either one with the Laso. But the much more expensive Canon Speedlight controller doesn’t have this capability either. I use flash fill all the time for outdoor photos using a zoom lens so the remote zoom control would be useful, especially when using 2 flashes together on a bracket and zooming out the flashes would help extend the fill range. Manually zooming 2 flashes is really in inconvenient.

question

There is a note about group mode on the Phottix website that says, Group flash is not possible with cameras released before and up to 2011, flash sync speed will be one stop slower then normal sync speed. Is the part about sync speed accurate? I have an 80D, will I get 1/250 sync speed in group mode?
Asked by: Rob H.
Being that the Canon 80D was released after 2011, it will be compatible with this feature.

question

Is it possible to have two Laso transmitters, one on camera and one in hand, with same settings (id, channel, etc.), so, with the one in hand I can trigger the flashes when measure the light when using it with my sekonic? Is there another better approach for this? Thanks.
Asked by: Francisco I M.
Yes; just remember to duplicate the settings in your hand to the other transmitter on the camera. The other option is to take the on-camera Laso on and off for measurements/shooting as needed.

question

Wondering whether Phottix Laso TTL Flash Trigger Transmitter is only compatible with the Speedlite 600EX II-RT? Phottix Laso TTL Flash Trigger Receiver or should be used?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Laso set interfaces with the Canon RT system and can be used interchangeably.Laso transmitter can control 600RT. E3-RT can control the Laso Receiver. The Plus is being able to use EX flashes with the RT system and having a less expensive Transmitter to control them all.
