LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Note: Not compatible with all cellular networks. Please make sure your provider uses a frequency or band that this phone supports. You can check which bands this phone works with in the Specifications.
    Android 5.0 Lollipop
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 5.0 Lollipop introduces Google's "Material Design" language and sees a complete overhaul of the look and feel of the OS. Other improvements include a new notification system, more useful multitasking (now called "Recents"), multi-user support, and a Battery Saver mode.
    Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA)
Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA) allows you to lower your mobile costs when traveling while staying connected. Having Dual Active SIM card slots means both SIM cards have dedicated modems, and are always active. Once your SIM cards are installed, you will be able to receive phone calls and text messages from either simultaneously. You can even receive phone calls and texts from one SIM card when actively using another. When you want to make a call or send an SMS message, you can select the correct SIM card. Only the first SIM card slot will work with 4G LTE, the second SIM slot is limited to 2G/3G service only. Operator charges may apply.

    ASUS ZE551KL Reviews

ZenFone 2 Laser ZE551KL 16GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Silver) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Phone with a Bit Too Much Bloatware I would give the phone itself five stars. It's not a Galaxy S6, but it isn't far behind. Everything works smoothly and quickly with no noticeable lag. Wifi works well, and calls sound wonderful. The speaker is loud and clear. It's a great phone overall. The only thing that keeps it from being five stars is all the preloaded (and mostly useless) apps that ASUS added to the phone. They all have some, but this one has more than I've ever seen before. Sadly, though many can be disabled, they cannot be removed to free up space.I love that it has a removable battery. I'm not a fan of the trend toward non removable batteries. Usually after about 18 months the battery capacity has decreased markedly, and being able to pop in a new battery is almost like having a new phone. This is a fabulous phone for $. Mine is on T Mobile, but it will work just as well on AT&T or on any MVNO that uses the AT&T or T Mo networks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Phone! Its BIG. thats a PRO, thats a CON. bought it for my son but, now I am going to get me one too. I think that might be the best endorsement you can give a product. You go buy it again. Really do I need to say more. Notes. We are on T-Mobile. No Issues there. Its very fast, renders web pages FAST. Plays world of tanks fast. You get lag on WiFi but no LTE. I have cox. (they kinda sux). I am actually shocked how fast LTE is. The Camera shocked me. ITs really nice. the Laser focus is a nice touch and works. 1 speaker is OK.. Its not that loud but thats what Blue tooth speakers are for, Right! I want to clone this into a 5 body for just a little more portability .. ahhh cant have everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very well-rounded phone that seems to get it right Here's what I was considering before buying the 16gb version of the Zenfone 2 Laser, in order of priority: Affordability, reasonable performance, battery life, storage options, camera. Affordability: I've used an ASUS laptop for 3 years, and it proved to be a great buy for higher-end specs. This mid-tier phone appeared to be big bang for the buck as well, and that seems apparent so far. For the price of this phone, the build quality looks and feels very solid. Even though it's plastic, the removable back shell is pretty substantial and not flimsy, and looks just like brushed metal. You could pay a little less for other phones and have a real cheapo feel. Phones have played a distant second-fiddle to me, but that may change now. Excluding ASUS's huge trove of bloatware here, some of their included apps have proven quite useful already. Reasonable performance: The performace so far has exceeded my expectations, but bear in mind this is coming from a budget phone user perspective, so performance is subjective in the real world. There has been no noticeable lag or choppiness, unlike lower-end phones I have used before. This phone runs the Snapdragon 615, unlike the the Intel from the Zenfone 2. I think it pushes everything very well- UI transitions are smooth, and apps launch quickly. I'm not a huge mobile gamer, but the phone appears to handle games quite well, although I haven't tested the most demanding of the bunch. Initial setup was pretty easy, and it automatically updated Android. Calls sound great. Display is very crisp, and plenty bright, although just a shade not as bright as I'd like. Not a consequence by any means. I'm using this phone with T-Mobile, and I'm getting good speeds. WiFi is working well. Battery life: Seems to meet expectations. I charged the phone to full, then played with it for about 3-4 hours (browsing store, installs, web, settings etc over WiFi) on moderate and high brightness. 12 hours later, after a couple calls and texting as well, I have 45% battery left. Not too bad at all for what I need, and I suspect that after I disable some of the bloatware and tweak the settings overall, that will only improve. I suspect the Snapdragon 615 also manages power better than the Intels do in the earlier Zenfone 2. Storage options and camera: I'm not a huge phone photo-taker, but compared to the budget phones I've had, the camera is a massive upgrade, although still doesn't compare to a decent point and shoot camera's quality. This isn't very important to me, though. As for storage options, I tend to not like a lot of app clutter at once, so the 16gb internal with SD expansion was perfect for me, and I'll probably use the SD for photos, video etc and internal for apps. Based on my very short time with the phone, it has been more than adequate for someone like me who is not interested in shelling out lots of cash for a phone, but would like a quality phone experience. It really seems to hit the sweet spot for being affordable, while at the same time, being a clear upgrade for past budget phone users. It's been a very good, well-rounded experience that has met, and in many places exceeded, my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Very satisfied with such a quality product at such a low price. The specs on this phone are comparable to the standard high end phone specs. At the time writing this review, you don't want to go any lower on CPU, Memory, Screen Resolution, and Camera megapixel. I believe the Honor5X is the most similar in specs and price. I opted with the brand that I've seen around longer and has a track record. From my research, I don't think there is anything cheaper with as much value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Great Smartphone, however I bought this cellphone instead of Iphone because the price, I don't see sense in pay $ dolars in it. I was used with nokia windows phone 8.1, and the Zenfone 2 is much better. Your HW is more powerful. And the Android is more friendly than Windows phone. However I got surprised when saw that the product didn't come with ear phones. OMG, not ear phone for 200 dolars ?And I haven't used with a screen with 5,5 inches. In a future, maybe I will think in change by other smaller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Phone Awesome phone and camera. Phone is worth the price if only used for a camera. My son purchased his ZenPhone when they were first released and been happy with his too. Size is great, easy to use, good software and applications. My only complaint is that they don't make it for use on the Verizon network. Where I live, AT&T and T-Mobile are very weak networks, so I still have to have a Verizon Network phone. It would be awesome if it was available on the Verizon network.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A pretty good phone So far this phone has performed very well. The main feature of this phone is the camera. Most of the pictures I've taken have turned out pretty well. The Laser is also significantly faster than my S3. Many reviews complain about preinstalled apps but they can be uninstalled. There's also a confirmed Marshmallow update by Asus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone for the price! I am really happy with this phone, it comes with productive apps, it woks fast, interact pretty good with many open application at the same time, it has a good battery on a regular basis use. It is not as thin as an iphone 6, it is a little bit bulky on the center but I think that it makes it easier to hold it.
