Control your software the way you want with Palette's Aluminum Expert Control Surface Kit. This kit comes with a central control module which connects to your computer via USB, two button modules, three dial modules, and two slider modules finished in Aluminum. The control modules can be assembled around the core module by magnetically attaching them. You can then build a customized interface by daisy chaining modules to fit your requirement.

Customizable Application Control
Map out the buttons, knobs, and sliders to various functions within your software of choice. Palette directly supports functionality in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Apple Final Cut Pro applications. Keystrokes and joystick functions can also be remapped to the different Palette modules for quick access to your favorite shortcuts in any other program including games, simulators, and document editors.
Configure your Own Workspace
When fitting Palette to your workspace, modules can be connected in any configuration you desire around the Core module to optimize your workflow for any given program. If you need more functions, you can add more modules, up to a maximum of 18, in any combination of buttons, knobs, and sliders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect companion for Lightroom, Photoshop, Photo Mechanic This has been a godsend to my workflow, cutting at least 40% of my processing time. I can easily end up with 2000 images or more from a day's shooting. Using Palette Gear with Photo Mechanic 5 to cull the images, then import into Lightroom, I am able to edit, process, fine tune, and post my pictures are more quickly than ever before. It also saves on my wrists. I prefer the buttons and the dials over the sliders but the sliders do work fine. Not sure of the product I invested in this set with the idea I could add buttons and dials as needed and still probably be under the cost of the Professional version. This product is a must have if you do a quantity of editing. It is so much faster than using the keyboard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes Editing a Pleasure Very neat addition to my editing process. I really like the simple to use interface and the tactile feeling you get when turning the knobs and switches, makes editing in Lightroom a treat. Build quality is good and the entire experience is well designed. Areas that could use improvement: 1. It has some compatibility issues with Lightroom 5, so I had to upgrade to 6/CC. 2. The Palette app has to be on for the switches to work, it doesn't open automatically. 3. The main module has a screen but not touch screen, so one of the button module needs to be dedicated to switching palettes. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Than Doubled My LightRoom Speed This is one of the best purchases I have made as a photographer. I only regret is that I didn't buy more! (the pro kit) This is so much better than all of the other editing control boards because you can make it yours; you can lay it out any way you want. You can make as many control sets as you want and switch between them seemlessly I have found that the dials are the most useful and the sliders are the least useful. If you set something with the slider then it will stay in that position for all your pictures. That means you usually have to move it every picture which slows you down a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh tactile editing experience I use this product for culling initial images in Photo mechanic and doing final image edits in lightroom and this puts the joy back in the creative process for me. It's quick to switch between the various profiles and, if it strikes my fancy I'll rearrange a few of the buttons to accommodate my terrible slouched posture. The dials are probably my favorite control input and I'd gladly replace all of my sliders for those. At first it was irritating to use the sliders for white balance in lightroom because going from image to image, there isn't a servo to match the position of the physical slider with the corresponding slider in lightroom. I'm accustomed to it now and it's less of a bother. I did have one of my sliders start to randomly register as being touched but Palette was very responsive and acknowledged that as a defect in earliest models. They made replacement quick and painless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Change your work flow The Palette system works incredibly well in Lightroom and Photoshop. It's a different way of 'developing' your images by adding sliders, control buttons and adjustment knobs. Yes, it will change the way you work. As a professional photographer I find this system way better than a Waco of similar tablet. You can assign functions to each components, snap them together in any shape you like; assign a colour to each to make it easier to recognise. I find the expert kit great, but I also added 4 buttons and 2 adjustment knobs. Wouldn't want to be without it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buggy Buggy Buggy If you manage to make it work is amazing, an a huge time saver, I use it to Edith video on premiere, to Edith photos on Lightroom, on after effects, but I spent every time like 5 minutes unplugging and changing from one profile to the other. I think the main issue is that it has way to many super strong magnets which make all the electronics to go buggy specially the core, I removed about 50% of un used magnets and seems to work way better.I love the design, the quality materials, and that has too much potential I hope Palette redesign it with a quick relish system, to eradicate all the magnets. But for now don t waste your money buying it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Heaps of potential. Not quite there yet for Premiere. I purchased this to primarily use with Premiere CC. It does some of the basic things I wanted it to do (FF and REV, scrub frame by frame, etc. but there are some serious issues as it relates to editing. The biggest drawback I have found is that the unit goes to sleep after 20 seconds. According to support, that's by design. I had buttons set to mark in points and out points, but if I watch more than 20 seconds of video between in and out, the unit goes into sleep mode and the out button has to be hit twice. That won't allow for an exact edit, so I've just gone back to using keyboard shortcuts. Tech support has been looking at another issue I've had for over a week where mapped buttons won't work to switch between workspaces (i.e. edit and color). Still no resolution there. I love the idea of Palette, but for Premiere, it's not quite ready for prime time. I've also used it in Lightroom and After Effects and it works flawlessly in those situations. I haven't used it in Photoshop/Illustrator/ or other Adobe products, but my guess is that it works very well for those too. In summation, if you want to use it for Premiere, I'd suggest holding off until some of the issues are addressed, for other apps, it's a great tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it when something works out of the box Can not find much to fault with the Palette , down load the software and plug the palette controller in , and your away,. The hard part is working out what to assign to each button or slider , but changing settings is very simple, Love that it can do multiple profiles. It has problems with Premier Pro CC , but that part is in beta testing, so the issues should be resolved before too long.
