Is this the same cable that's used for the C300 Mark I?

According to Canon's documentation, the Canon UN-5 Unit Cable, is only compatible with the following models: "Canon C200, C300 Mark II/III, C500 Mark II, C700, and XC15".

Will this work with the c200B if I plan to buy the LCD separate? There really isn't any info about how to get a connection cable if you want to buy the B version...it looks like UN-5 is what is listed on the spec sheet for the full model so I was wondering if this cable will work. Thanks

This is the correct cable for the Canon LM-V1 4 LCD Monitor for C200 and C200B.

Sorry, no 3rd party cable is known to be available. One of the greatest attributes of top Canon equipment is that it works, first time, every time. You can count your reputation on that. So what you have here is a precision made cable that is meant to be used reliably in professional productions. After adding up the cost of time, money and man-hours in setting up such a production, the cost of good gear is worth every penny in piece of mind. Speaking from experience, having a cheap cable fail in such a situation will teach a life lesson in what is important and what is not.
